If You know what to do, but you don't do it - Watch this!

Your nervous system protects you from change by running automatic patterns faster than your conscious mind can override them. The speaker quit a 23-year smoking habit and helped a client leave a 20-year marriage by rewiring these body-level reflexes, not through willpower. The Rewire Method targets the nervous system directly through six steps: Recognize, Engage, Witness, Interrupt, Reflect, Encode.

Have you ever known exactly what to do and still not done it? You know, you should send that email, leave the relationship, stop scrolling, go to gym, have the hard conversation, start the thing, finish the thing. And then the moment comes and nothing. You freeze, you avoid, you delay, you distract, you tell yourself Tomorrow. And after enough tomorrows, you start making it mean something about you. Maybe I'm lazy. Maybe I'm weak. Maybe I'm broken. Maybe I just don't have what it takes. But what if that's not the truth? What if the problem is not your mindset? What if your body is running an old protection program? Because that's what I've spent years studying, testing, and building a method around. You know what to do. Your body already decided not to do it. And if that lands for you right now, don't just let it be a moment. Do something with it. Join the free 30-minute Saturday Reset. Link is in the description. We practice this live every week. Come feel what this actually does in your nervous system instead of just thinking about it. That link is down below. Now let me show you what's actually going on. See, most people think they have a discipline problem. They don't. They have a protection problem. Your nervous system is not asking, "Will this help me become extraordinary?" It's asking one thing and one thing only: "Is this safe?" That's a completely different question. So when success feels unfamiliar, when visibility feels dangerous, When intimacy feels risky, when change feels uncertain, your body will often choose familiar pain over unfamiliar freedom. Not because you're stupid, not because you're weak, because your nervous system is doing exactly what it was built to do, and that is protect you. And that protection runs faster than your conscious thoughts. Think about this. Your body processes roughly 1 billion bits of information every second, and your conscious mind only about 10 bits. That's a 100 million times difference. And the window your conscious mind has to overwrite what your body has already decided? 200 to 500 milliseconds. Less than half a second. And by the time you say, "I should be calm," By the time you say, "I should just do it," by the time you say, "This time I'm going to be different," and the old reflex is already halfway out the door. That's why you stay in the relationship you know is bad. That's why you hide when you want to be seen. That's why you pull away when you want connection. And that's why you sabotage the very opportunity you prayed for. It's not a character flaw, it's a body pattern, and those are two completely different problems. So if the body is the problem, why doesn't willpower fix it? Because willpower lives upstairs and the reflex lives downstairs. Willpower is a push. Nervous system is a pattern, it's a program, and you cannot permanently outperform a body that does not feel safe. Think of it this way: you're driving your life with one foot on the gas pedal and the other foot on the brake at the same time. The ambition says, "Go!" Your protection says, "Stop! Not yet!" Your goals say, say now. Your body says danger, and then you call it self-sabotage. But it's not self-destruction, it's outdated protection. You make progress, you get momentum, a real opportunity shows up, and suddenly you procrastinate and pull back. You disappear, you distract, you pick a fight, you get foggy. Tell yourself, "Now isn't the right time." And then you wonder, "What is wrong with me?" See, nothing is wrong with you. The old program is just winning the speed race. Let me prove it. I smoked 30 cigarettes a day for 23 years. Hypnosis lasted 5 days. Willpower lasted 15 months. Not bad, right? 15 months. But 15 months of force, and still it came back. Why? Because neither one reached the body level where the habit actually lives. Just lifting that cigarette every morning when you wake up and taking that last puff before you go to bed. Then came 21 days of body level reprogramming while I was still smoking. And on April 3rd, 11:59 PM in 2014, 4 cigarettes at the same time, the last 3 minutes of the day. I haven't had one since. This is not a quit smoking story. This is proof that a reflex built over 23 years of daily repetition can be permanently replaced without willpower, without white knuckling, without fighting yourself. So if part of you is thinking, but can this really change for me? That story is your answer. And if you wanna start feeling that shift in your body, not just thinking about it, join the free 30-minute Saturday Reset. Every Saturday, we reset the nervous system, Live. Together. No cost. No catch. Just real practice. Link is in the description. Now here is where it gets deeper. Every stuck pattern has a job. I need you to hear that very carefully. Every behavior that frustrates you, every pattern you've tried to force your way out of is usually protecting you from something. See, procrastination protects you from failure, from exposure, from finding out what happens if you fully try and it still doesn't work. Perfectionism protects you from judgment. Overthinking protects you from commitment, from action, from being wrong. See, people pleasing, it protects you from conflict, from abandonment, from losing the approval that once felt like survival. See, that behavior is not irrational once you understand what it's protecting. That line is everything. Because once you see the protection underneath the pattern, you stop talking to yourself like you're broken machinery. You stop asking, "What is wrong with me?" You start asking, "What is this protecting me from?" This is a completely different conversation, and that's where shame begins to crack open. Because most people are not broken, they are loyal. Loyal to a survival strategy that once made sense and simply stayed too long. Now I want to talk to the people who have already done the work. You've been to therapy, you've read the books, you understand the patterns, you can explain exactly why you are the way you are. And yet you're still stuck. I had a client, a good man, a good father, primary provider for his family. He was in a 20-year toxic marriage. His wife was a saint in public and a different person at home. He knew it, his therapist knew it, his kids were being affected. He spent 3 years in therapy trying to find the courage to leave. 3 years understanding the problem, talking about the problem, being fully aware of the problem. Still couldn't move. One session with me changed the reflex keeping him frozen. He filed papers the following week, moved from a 10,000-square-foot house to a 1,200-square-foot loft, and said it was worth every single thing he gave up. See, therapy worked on his thoughts. It didn't reach where the real decision is being made. Insight is not always interruption. Awareness is not always rewiring. It's like standing in front of a locked door with a brilliant explanation of the lock itself. Insight tells you how it goes there or got there. Rewiring gives you that key. So what's the move? The solution is not trying harder. The solution is working at the right level. And that's what I call the Rewire Method. 6 steps, each one designed to work where the pattern actually lives. In the body, not the mind. And here's how it works. First, recognize. Catch the trigger when it fires. Not after the fight, not after the collapse, not after you've already disappeared into that old pattern. You gotta catch it at the start. The tight chest before you hit send. The stomach that drops or feels queasy when the opportunity arrives. The freeze when someone challenges you. The urge to shrink when you wanna speak up. The earlier you catch it, the more choice you have. Second, engage. What is your body actually doing right now? Do you got a locked jaw, heavy chest, shallow breathing, an urge to run, an urge to shut down? Don't skip over this. The body is where those patterns live. You have to be willing to listen to it. Third is witness. No shame, no self-attack, no "here I go again," because shame doesn't create change. Shame creates more threat, and threat feeds that old reflex. So instead of "what is wrong with me?" you ask, "what is this protecting me from?" "What is this protecting me from?" That question turns on a light in a dark room, and the monster usually shrinks once you can see shape. Fourth is the interrupt. One different move. One different move. Not a heroic transformation. One safer next step. One text. One sentence. One honest boundary. Two minutes of movement. One breath where you usually collapse. See, that's enough because the body learns safety through lived Evidence, not motivational speeches. So I can talk till I'm blue in the face and you can try to convince yourself, but until your body feels the transformation, the difference, it won't work. Fifth is reflect. Did you survive or did the world end? Did the thing you feared actually happen? That matters because every time you show your nervous system, we did something new and we're still here, we're still alive, you start building self-trust from the inside. You gotta trust yourself from the inside. And these patterns teach your system that you are safe. You didn't die after the thing you didn't do or the thing you did that you thought something was gonna kill you. Sixth, last but not least, encode. Repeat the new response. Keep repeating it until it becomes more familiar than that old one. Because repetition built the old reflex and repetition also builds this new one. This is how change stops being a performance and starts being who you are. Your nervous system is like a phone running way too many apps. It overheats, it slows down, it misses the window where a better choice was possible. The reset clears the overload, the rewire changes the code, and when you put those two together, the right choice stops feeling like a war. So here's where I want to leave ya. You were never lazy. You were never weak. You were never broken. You were surviving with a pattern your body learned, maybe a long, long time ago, when that pattern was the smartest option available. And nobody taught you that that pattern can be updated. And that's what this work is. Not another way to think about your life. Not more language for why you're stuck. A method for rewiring what fires automatically so the right choice starts feeling natural instead of forced. Because the goal was never to become better at forcing yourself. The goal is a body that finally supports the life your mind keeps asking for. When you stop fighting yourself at the level of shame and start rewiring yourself at the level of reflex, you get your energy back, you get your choices back, you get your life back. You know what to do. Now it's time to teach your body how to do it with you. If this landed for ya, Don't let it be just another video you agreed with and moved on from. That's that old pattern. Consume, feel good, and then you go back to normal. Break it here. Do one thing different right now. Join the free 30-minute Saturday Reset. It's every Saturday, live, together, and it's free. We don't just talk about this, we practice it in real time. Because understanding the reflex and actually interrupting it are two different things. Come do the second one. Link is in the description. I'll see you Saturday.
