AI is forcing companies to open their APIs. Businesses once hoarded automation internally, but AI developers now demand APIs first to plug in models and automate across services. This shift is reshaping how firms build products.
But the integration is also becoming much easier, and AI is helping drive that because it's forcing those companies to adapt. Just a few years ago, asking a company, do you have an API I can interface with so I can automate things rather than wait for you to automate it in your service just within your ecosystem? It wasn't for sure that they would all come to the table. Now AI has switched that, going, I need the API first and foremost so I can plug my stuff into it and start automating things.
