In a brief recorded discussion, Speaker A asks for a hot take on the overall worth of cyber insurance in 2025, probing whether the perspective is highly skeptical. Speaker B responds succinctly with a single word, "Boom," implying a strong, possibly affirmative stance without elaboration.
Would you say, like, what's your sort of hot take on cyber insurance in 2025? Overall worth it?
Boom.
Highly skeptical? Where are we landing?
Spicy take. I think that goes back to your maturity in your cyber program. If you are low-level maturity, not a bad thing, that word sounds worse than what it really is. If you just are early in your journey on cybersecurity requirement, I think that that's, 'cause that's gonna be to get a lot of stuff and you're gonna transfer risk. I think as you become more mature, you feel more confident in what you have as a protection program, you can lower the claim or the coverage or type of coverage. If you've got a brand new car, you're probably getting full coverage. If you got an old, you know, beater, maybe I'm just gonna get liability or, you know, or comprehensive. You know, I'm not really thinking if I bang a tire, I'll be okay. So I think it's somewhat similar in the cyber industry.
