A security expert warns against treating Zero Trust as a buzzword. Real security means hardening systems and segmenting networks, not checking boxes. Providers who cut corners end up liable when breaches happen.
Well, you don't go in with the latest buzzword. You say, you know, but again, I know this. I also have clients. If they say Zero Trust, I say, "Sure." And then I go and I proceed to actually harden them and segment them and do the right stuff. Not the stuff that's in the document, because see, that's the great thing about Zero Trust is that's whatever you want it to be. So, 'cause in the end, as a security company, you are responsible if they get breached. So you might as well just do it right and call it whatever they want to call it.
