In this travel vlog, Adam Greenberg narrates a day trip to the island of Capri with his fiancée Jules. They arrive early by boat, miss the Blue Grotto due to high tide, and take a public boat tour, reflecting that a private tour would have been more worthwhile despite the similar cost. Adam shares practical tips about using the Capri tram—advocating taking it up and walking down—and describes the bustling high‑end shopping square and a quiet garden. The highlight of the day is a discovery of a modest deli, Salumeria d'Aldo, where they enjoy what Adam calls the best sandwich of his life. After returning to Sorrento, they relax by the pool before dining at Il Convivio, praising the local scialatelli pasta, seafood dishes, Italian cheesecake, wine, and limoncello. The vlog closes with logistics for their onward travel to Naples and Florence, a plug for the Bon Journal travel‑journal app, and a heartfelt thank‑you to viewers.

Alright, the journey continues. Today we went to Capri. Got on a boat super, super early. Got to Capri around 8:15, 8:30. Had a little coffee and a sandwich right there in the Grand Marina. Popular thing to do is to go to the Blue Grotto in Capri. Unfortunately, the tide was too high, so we couldn't go to the Blue Grotto, but we decided to do a boat tour. Julia, your feet are in the shot. Hello. We decided to go on a boat tour around the whole island of Capri and Anacapri. Now, Jules and I feel a bit stupid because so many people had told us, do a private tour, do a private tour, do a private tour. And today we were penny money smart, pound foolish, and we bought ferries separately, we bought our tour separately, we bought this, we bought that, whatever. It all added up to being roughly the same price as a private tour, so we felt a bit silly about that, but we learned a good lesson. And I mean, it was still beautiful touring the island public, but if you're going to tour the island of Capri by boat, do it privately. Get somebody to take you around. It's just more intimate, it's nicer, You don't have 35 other people on the boat that you're trying to like dodge while taking a picture of you in this rock, essentially, because it's all just a big rock. Then we got off the boat tour, we took the tram up to the top square in Capri, which is definitely the move. We walked down, and on the way down we saw so many people trying to walk up Capri, and it's like this huge long walk for really no reason because You could take the tram. The tram always looks like it has a long line. It actually doesn't because the tram takes 70 people at a time. So if you're standing there for like 5 minutes, 70 people will move forward. And then you stand there for another 3 minutes and then another 70 people will move forward. So definitely take the tram up. And if you want to walk at some point, walk down. You get into the square in Capri and it's like really straight out of a movie. You walk around and it's all the most high-end stores that were too rich for our blood, but it was cool to see. And then we got to the other side of Capri. There was a little garden that we took some pictures in. It was nice. And then we went back down— Bless you. Thank you. And then we walked down Capri to the Grand Marina, and we had about an hour to kill, so we figured let's get a sandwich. So we started looking around and then we stumbled upon this like dépanneur. Extreme pro tip: as you're getting off the boat in Capri, you'll see this. Okay? You'll see that. Turn to the right. You walk down this path to a moment that will change your life. You will keep walking. You'll keep walking. And then you will embark upon this small little dépanneur called Salumeria d'Aldo. You'll go in, you'll walk all the way to the back, and then there's just these 3 miraculous old Italians slicing up some meats, throwing it between some bread, and honestly, it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life. Got back onto the ferry, went back to Sorrento where we wanted to chill by the pool for the second half of our day, which we got to do. Chilled by the pool till probably around 6-ish, went back upstairs, had a little siesta, a little shower. We got a recommendation from this lovely lady couple that was staying at our hotel. They were at the pool. They said, go to the restaurant right next to our hotel. It is incredible. So we did, and it was incredible. It's called Il Convivio. And the, you know, in the area of Campania, they have this special noodle that they make right there called scialatelli. Imagine you close your eyes and you just think of the best possible pasta. That's what it was. I had a seafood pasta, Jules had pasta with eggplant and cheese, and it was really, really great. Finished off with a nice Italian cheesecake, which was awesome, a little ricotta in there. Had another couple of liters of wine, had another couple of liters of limoncello, and then we crashed early because we were taking a ferry to Naples and train to Firenze.
