The Freeway Natasha Morning Show. The newest personality to join our Virgin Radio team here is no stranger to the Montreal market, Adam Greenberg. Very excited to have you here this morning. Welcome to the show.
Thank you.
Good morning.
Not only that, but we're gonna get a scoop on Lee as well, our newest producer. He's been on the show for a couple of months. You went to high school together with Lee?
St. George's High School.
Watch out then.
Yeah, romance, I see.
So a couple of things about Adam. He's a DJ, he's an amazing filmmaker like myself. Very excited to see he's on a plant-based diet and has lost over 50 pounds.
Oh, good for you!
Thank you. Incredible. And he's getting married in October.
Oh, nice.
It's an exciting time.
Yes, you got a lot going on.
I got a little bit going on right now.
Yeah, and you made your debut on Virgin Radio this past weekend, so you're going to be on— what are the exact times you're going to be on the radio station?
So I'm going to be on Monday to Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. I love the name of my show, it's called Adam in the Eve.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, and also the weekend vibe, Saturday 1 to 6 and Sunday noon to 6. So It's just good times all week long.
Yeah, you know, I've seen a lot of your work online because you're really great with a camera in your hand and you make really great mini movies and stuff like that. So why pursue a career in radio when you're so talented in making movies? The money's in movie making, by the way.
Well, what I'm looking to do is really fuse the two. I love to entertain in any capacity, so that's just my goal here, is to entertain through video, through radio, through music, through everything.
Well, Adam, we're excited to have you here. We tried to get the owner of Virgin Radio and the brand, Sir Richard Branson, but he was too busy with hurricane. Yeah. Oh yeah, named Irma. So the, the first best thing, not the next best thing, but the first best thing, joining us this morning is your mom, who I had a lovely conversation with moments ago.
Absolutely.
Mama Greenberg, you're on live with your son. Hi. Hi, Mom.
Welcome to the radio.
More, more like welcome to you to the radio.
Yeah, it's funny, I told your mom You have about 60 seconds to say something about your son, maybe an embarrassing story. A moment she goes, 60 seconds? I'm a Jewish mom. I'll need about an hour, but okay, I'll try my best. So Mama Greenberg, what do you got for us this morning?
Okay. Anyways, as a very young kid, Adam was always trying to perfect his branding. So when he was born, he was given the name Adam Sidney Greenberg. That didn't work well for him moving a couple of years later when his brother was given the name Jake Wolf Greenberg, which was a very, very cool name in his eyes. So all the papers from grade 1 that came in were always signed Adam Dragonzoid Greenberg.
It was Dragonzord, Mom. Dragonzord, like the Power Rangers. I know you're a Jewish mom, but Dragonzoid?
Come on. Look, my brother had the coolest middle name of all time— Wolf.
I was like, I gotta, I gotta fix this up here.
You have a very close Relationship with mom?
Yeah, absolutely. Best friends.
I think mom should be making some little cameos on your show.
There is no doubt.
Mama Greenberg, we thank you so much. Is that it? We're out of time.
Yeah, have a great day.
Thanks, Mom. Love you.
All right, congratulations, Adam. There goes your mom. This is your life, Adam. Very cool. Very cool. We'll catch you on the airwaves here on Virgin Radio, and we're very happy to have you part of our team. So welcome.
Thank you very much.
Thank you. Say something in Hebrew. Do you know? Shalom aleichem.
Okay.
Goodbye. Did I get it? I got it. You can tell I got it.
Virgin Radio.
