This is your video to help you set up for your absolute best year yet coming up very shortly. And how are we going to do it? By doing your year end review. And in this video, I'm going to be walking you through some simple exercises that I do every year. Grab a pen, grab some paper. Whether you're tuning in the podcast or watching me here on the video, we're going to be doing these exercises and I want you to be able to print them out or hang them up, or hand write them for you to see them. Because it is in this process that we are going to plan for your success. Yes. Not think, not dream, not. We are going to plan for your success. And I learned some of this through guess who? Brian Tracy, who I mentioned a lot because he says with every one minute that we spend planning, we save 10 minutes in execution. If you were trying to assemble a desk you got from Ikea and you do, what I would do to start is you just start scrambling all the pieces and then you realize, holy smokes, there's a million pieces. Where do I begin? What do you do? You grab the directions and you follow them step by step as a plan instead of just trying to tackle the whole thing. That's what so many people do in life is they say, I want to be successful, I want to earn a lot, I want to spend time with family, I want to have fun, pay off my debt, get the new house, retire early, and what do we do? We just hustle ourselves into madness. So have a plan, have a vision, and guess what? This video is going to be stupid simple because oftentimes our greatest success are having single mindedness in purpose and focus and in execution. And I'm going to help you do that through a three part exercise starting and in just a moment. And if you are new here, my name is Adam Bensman, the roof strategist and everything that I do on these videos and my channel and the podcast is designed to help you develop personal sales strategies to smash your income goals. So click, subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss anything as I cover goal planning, motivation, how to generate your own leads, closing strategies, opening strategies, canvassing, and a whole lot more. So I can help you earn even more in roofing sales to realize the dreams and opportunities that you're in this whole thing to create. Because by following the right steps, you will succeed. By getting distracted by money, which I did, and only focusing on money, you'll end up in the hospital like I did before I was 30 years old. Thinking I was having a heart attack with an infection surrounding my heart. Caused by what? Stress. So grab a pen and paper and let's jump right into your year in review. First, congratulations. I mean this. You survived 2020, the worst, craziest year yet. Pat yourself on the back. You adapted to lockdowns, material shortages, customers not coming to the door for fear of COVID to remote sales over the Phone, Zoom Hangouts, FaceTime, all of these things through a curve ball and you are still here. That's a testament to your will, to your courage, to your bravery, and to your focus and dedication to success. Whether you grew or not doesn't matter. So I want to help you set your year up for the best year yet. And we're going to end this video with some commitments I'm going to make to you, including some first knowledge, little teaser insights into stuff that I have coming for you in 2021. So let's jump right in. I want you to grab a piece of paper and I want you to write three really big goals. Okay? Now, don't focus just on the money. Of course, income is part of it. But I want you to follow this thought exercise. We're going to write these goals if you have already accomplished them, as if you've looked back. Okay? So it starts like this. Very simple formula. I have done X, whatever it is, earned $200,000, gone on a vacation to Costa Rica, paid off all my debt, saved for a down payment on a house, moved into the next house, bought a new truck, whatever it is, spent every single night kissing my kids before bed. Okay, write it down. I have blank by December 31, 2021. Why do we do this? We look back with clarity as if we've already accomplished it by a date. That way, if you handed this piece of paper to a 5 year old, they could say, did you earn $200,000 by December 31st? And you could answer yes or no. Not I want to earn, I have. So do it right now. And I want to help you channel your creativity. There's financial goals to write. There's charitable goals you can write. There's health and fitness goals you can write. There's family and relationship goals you can write. And there's also charitable goals that you can write. I personally have some of each, but I want you to choose. Do you want all five? The reason I say three is it really forces you to pick what's important because I used to write down 10 goals and then I realized I'd hit about seven of them. But three of them I'd smash out of the park. And those are the ones that were really important. That kind of fueled everything else. I'll give you an example. Let's say you want to earn $200,000 in the but you also want to do all this money for charity and you want to go on vacation. Well, guess what? What is more important? The money part, because it's going to fuel a charity, it's going to fuel the vacation. So write down three goals. I have blank by December 31, 2021. And congrats, you've got those three goals written down. Now go hang them up. Pause this video. Pause the podcast if you need to. Now, now we are going to turn our attention into the past using the opportunity. They say hindsight's 20 20, right? I think it's even better than that. I want you to think of three things. If you could have done this better, what would the outcome have been? Example number one, if I could have generated more leads, I would have made a lot more money. Okay, that's one example. If I could have been home every night for dinner, I wouldn't have my wife, girlfriend, boyfriend so upset with me. If I would have been able to go to my kids soccer games or football games or baseball games, I'd have a better relationship with them. If I could have done this, this would have happened. If I could have closed 30% more of my leads, I would have earned 30% more income. So what was it for you? Where was the leak? Because remember, we all are leveled on this playing field. Every human on this planet shares the same seconds, minutes and hours of every day. And I want you to think about this. If you could have done this better, what would the outcome have been? So now you have your goals, the three you just wrote down. And you know the three things that if you could have done this better, the outcome would be there. What's the fastest way to fix that? Fixing a leak. Right. If you could do this better, this would happen. Now I want you to look at those three things and then I want you to pick one. If there was just one of those items. If I could have blank, then this would have happened. I could have blank. Which one, if you focused on single mindedly would have had the greatest impact on your life and on your work. And it doesn't matter if it's only money focused, it can be anything. I'll give you another example. If you said, if I could have had one day off every week, I could have spent true time with family, unplugged and had a lot less stress. Imagine just taking Sunday off. Just Sunday. No email, no calls. Just pure presence with you and your family and your loved ones and your friends doing things. Now you're going to say Adam, well, that sounds super hooky. How's that going to help me smash my goals? Well, here's how. If you know that you're going to commit to unplugging to save your sanity, recharge a little bit, get some rest, relax. This is a stressful position. What's your mind going to do? It's going to think about ways to save time. Be more creative, be more efficient, sell more with less time. Say no to the wrong opportunities, not get distracted because you need to hustle to get it done. And by the way, when I say hustle, I mean work smart on something. The right things, working better, doing the right things rather than hustling, as in like I'm just out there working hard. Okay, so it is more of the right activities and you're going to be more selective on the things you say yes to. So by even committing to the if I could have been home Sundays, I would have had a better time with family, but a better relationship with my kids, better relationship with my wife, girlfriend, husband, partner, whatever it is, I could have recharged. Not burned out, not gained weight, gone to the gym. Oftentimes it is as simple as one thing. So now you've written down your three goals. You found three things. If I could have this, I would have this. And you've narrowed it to one. If I could have done this, I would have done this. That is the most important thing. Now. I want you to make a commitment, make it to me. And then I want you to drop it in the comments if you're comfortable, which I encourage you to tell everybody. Commit to the world. When you voice things, there's a semblance of accountability because it's vulnerable. It's spooky. Tell your girlfriend, your boyfriend, your wife, your husband, tell your business partner, tell somebody, your mom, your dad, your grandma, your grandpa, I don't care. Tell them I am committed to doing this so I can do this. I am committed to being home every Sunday so I can spend more time with family, recharge, earn more, work smarter, whatever it is that one commitment told you this would be simple. That is your secret to setting up your best year yet. It is single mindedness in focus and in purpose because that will trickle down like a domino effect. Because you know what they say, a domino falling has the energy to knock down a domino twice its size. That's not a long distance before a domino this big can knock down a domino the size of the Eiffel Tower. You stay focused on that one thing and the rest will literally topple over and tumble into place as your single focus. I made the mistake. Too much focus, too much goal planning. It gets chaotic. One commitment. You just made it right now. Drop it in the comments. I'll tell you mine as you're writing yours. I am committed to providing even better, even more focused content, both free here on the YouTube channel. I have more free stuff coming on the podcast and other avenues focused on one thing helping you smash your income goals. Whether you spend a penny with me or you don't, because I value your time. You and I have the same time. You're giving this channel, this podcast, time to help you grow. I owe it to you to give you as much as I can in the most concise, action packed process possible. And that is what's led to the Fast Action Results Snapshot Far Snapshot for short, that will accompany every single video, including the three key takeaways, some notes and Fast Action Results assignments to help you implement what you learned and recommended resources. If you're not receiving those yet, they'll only come to your inbox and there's a link in the description. It's free sign up. I'll get them sent to you from here moving forward. Alright, well now you are owed another congratulations. You survived 2020 and you just made the strongest commitment that's going to guide you to your goals in 2021. I am so pumped to hear about your success and I promised you I'd share with you a little bit about what's coming. What I'm releasing here in 2021 first is this. I used to do this only with my one on one clients. It's focused on retail and Storm, both very specific material for both. And what is it? It's my complete closing strategy that I've built around another very simple and easy to process formula called Karpark C A R P A R K. I'll share with you later what that means and how it's going to help you close even more sales. And it's a simple process very similar to your complete sales strategy that walks you how to open up a new neighborhood, what to do with a new customer, what to do when a job is scheduled, what to do on installation day, what to do when the install is done, and what to do when it's paid in full along with some other advanced strategies. But then what happens when you have the appointments? How do you close those? Now again, I used to do this only one on one in coming January towards the end of January. The date details will come soon along with an opportunity for you to lock in. A discount will be available to you along with a printable cheat sheet so you can simply reference it in your truck before going to the appointment. Say okay, car park, car park, car park, got to do it. This, this boom, boom boom, done. And you're going to close even more deals. I promise it and I guarantee it. Because I guarantee every single one of my products with a 30 day money back. No BS guarantee. You get in there, you don't love it, you email me, I refund your money. It's that simple. Second thing that's coming, my new sales team plan. Some of you are already on it. I've released it to a few folks. I've teased at it. Anyone that's in that has access to any of my programs. You might have seen it in the training dashboard when you log in, but that sales team plan was in response to requests from you. I want my entire team running your complete sales strategy. Can I get individual logins for everyone? How is the best practice for me to roll it out, introduce it, adapt it to my existing structure, technology and resources? Well, guess what? The team plan rollout center has all those answers, guides you through it and gives you access to not only that, but individual logins for your complete sales strategy. It will include your complete closing strategy along with my program how to build you'd dream team. So everyone has appropriate login for exactly what they need to see. And the last thing that's coming. I can't share all the details yet, but I'm going to be doing a lot more on the retail front and I can't wait to because the requests have been coming and I'm super excited to help. And yes, your complete sales strategy will have some updates soon, probably into the second quarter on the retail front. So I am committed to better, even better content, even more actionable content, and even better products and services to help you smash your income goals. Everything is guided by this simple formula for you. How can I help you develop a personal sales strategy to smash your income goals? If I'm missing anything, do me a favor right now and drop in the comments. Adam, I want to see more of this. I read and reply to those and it will help me help you. But before we wrap this video up, I want to bring it back to you. You've written three goals I have by this date. You've also written down three things. If I could have done this, I. I would have done this better. And you've narrowed that to one powerful commitment that I'm hoping you dropped in those comments as well. And by doing all of this, you are setting yourself up for your best year yet. And I cannot wait to support you. So congratulations. That's all I have for this video. If you want to see more, click the links in the video description. All the details are there. But for now, Happy New Year and cheers to your success in your best year yet. I will see you in 2021.
