All right. So I'm up here on a roof with Keith. Say hi, Keith. Hey, how's it going? And take a look at this. Some might say it hailed up here. This is smoked.
So we just did inspection on the rest of the property.
And storm came in from the other way. So we walked the perimeter, found all the aluminum. I'm going to show you some. I mean, you can just see this roof is. Has been torched. I mean, it is a hundred percent no brainer. And ridgecap is torched as well. The aluminum siding, if you'll take a look, you can just see the size of these dents from the hill. I mean, it was massive. So all the gutters first thing. By the way, people ask me all the time, what do we do when you get on the roof? Do a perimeter walk first. Look for everything on the perimeter siding. I usually walk around the outside. Check all the window wraps. Siding is smoke. We'll see if we can do a little lean over here. So whole backside of the house, gutters, carriage house over here. That the backside. The gutters are completely disintegrated. And large, large, large, large hail. And then the skylights. The dome light on the carriage house is also destroyed. I think we got ourselves a totaled roof. Totaled everything. Not everything is going to look this crazy. You'll see up in the tops of all the gutter pans.
I don't know if you can see the light.
So top of the gutter. If you run a light on the bottom side of this gutter going this way, you'll see where hail has fallen and popped out. And then same thing from up here. If hail will come from the top side and then pop out the gutter so you can see through the gutters. A spotlight will help you see these things because not every roof is going to look like this one does. All slopes look totaled.
All.
All accessory vents look totaled. Keith is up there grabbing his photos. By the way. Super fun that Keith is the one that got me here. Thank you for that, by the way. Yeah. And he asked me to. To show up. I wasn't planning on being here today. And look what we did. So siding is tough to tell. I don't want to lean too far over. But you'll see looking down the whole wall siding. This is all steel siding for reference. So general inspection practice. Start on the ground. Do your perimeter first. Walk in a circle. Check siding, check window wraps like I showed you. And window wraps, gutter pans. Top, bottom, lip, side lip for hill. Coming this way. Your shingles last. You want to make sure that your homeowners can see photos. It's not always that bad. And again, it's tough to tell the window wrap over there, but that is also. Yeah, now you can see it. That's also done. So we've got pretty much everything. Side of this house, gutters, the deck. This will be a total, total replacement. O and P, the whole kit and caboodle. So for those of you who are asking for a video on an inspection of the roof, you have this guy to thank because he's the one that made it happen. That's all, guys. We'll see you next time.
All right, so I just finished up with Keith and fun story, that roof that you just saw the videos on. I had no intention on coming back up to Cheyenne today. Keith sent me an email and said, hey, Adam, I'm gonna be up in Cheyenne. I saw your scouting series. If you end up back there, let me know. I'd love to get together. So I said, you know what? I'm gonna go shoot some video in Cheyenne. So we met up. I just ran an appointment with Keith. Homeowner comes out of the house, and he is, like, on guard. Wouldn't let us in. Who are you? How'd you get her number, by the way? It was a telemarketing lead and really, really, really just standoffish. And coincidentally, his address was 2040, which is the same house number, my childhood house. My parents made our phone number end in 2040. My brother's cell phone still ends in 2040 because of it. So I broke the ice with that as the icebreaker. So we gotta try to get this guy to soften up a little because we're in Wyoming. It's a northern Colorado company. So he says, hey, what do you. Why are you up here? How did you get a hold of us? Why are you here? Why should I go over this with you guys? Which, by the way, I just did a video on overcoming the out of town roofer question. And all we did. It was amazing watching the shift. When I said. I said, gil, listen, I understand you want to handle this on your own. By the way, he used to be in insurance. He's friends with his agent. He's an older guy. It's like, checks all the boxes for the tougher customer, Smiles, shakes my hand and asks for my card.
Little does he know, obviously, that, like.
I was like, you know, Keith's your guy to talk to, not me. So it went really well. Keith is there teeing up and closing the hopefully, hopefully, hopefully closing the deal. Adjusters coming out tomorrow. And I'm hoping that Keith can ink this one because this should be my guess. Easy. $30,000 claim. Easy with O&T. Two structures on the property, roof, siding, windows, gutters, wrap on the gutters, all the windows, doors, everything looks smoked. But most importantly was saying, listen, I know you're an ace in this.
I know you have.
I'm not going to bore you. But I am going to tell you this. Anyone that talks price with you, you need to run away from because this isn't about price, it's about assessment. Then I explained that we work on Xactimate, said it's the same software that the insurance uses. Nothing should be negotiated on based on a number. It's only about what's here. It's an objective experience and you can work with anyone you want. We do hope it's us. And he smiled like, I'm high as a kai right now. It was awesome. I love overcoming those. That's why I'm not wearing the roof strategist shirt. Didn't want to run that lead with Keith helping him out, which was we were just like, oh, Adam, shadowing me today. You know, I got a baby face and I'm short so it helps out, right. So it was super fun. I'd love to meet up with more of you guys out here, Colorado, Wyoming, anywhere. Hit me up.
