Sell More Roofs Using an EASY Door-to-Door Conversation Starter [30-Day Sales Challenge]

This is a YouTube transcript of Adam Bensman (the Roof Strategist) — video 3 of a 30-day sales challenge. Adam outlines how to craft sales offers and pitches tailored to a homeowner’s stage in the insurance claims process (four stages: no claim, partial payment, denial, check in hand). He emphasizes matching the pitch to the prospect’s stage, offers a templated pitch/inspection script in his paid marketing pack, and asks viewers to comment which stage their prospects are in.

Guys, Adam here, the roof strategist. We are continuing the 30 day sales challenge. This is video three, which is all about crafting the offer, crafting your pitch, and acing all of your sales and marketing outreach specific to the market that you're in and the stage of this, of both the storm and the type of damage that you're working now. I put together another video which I reference to the four stages of the claims. That's three. The four stages of the claims process, which is going to walk you through this is a quick snapshot. Stage one, they have not yet filed a claim, right? So you've got some damage, fresh storm, you're showing up, you're first to the scene, and your idea is to get them to file the claim. That's stage one. Stage two, partial payment adjuster showed up, says, hey, I'm paying for the western elevations. That's it. Now we got to get that from partial pay to full. Okay, that's stage two. Stage three is denial. That's the fringe areas of the storm or the butt head adjusters that are denying sound damage. This is where the homeowner really needs you. Okay, stage three, denial. Stage four, check in hand. This is usually the tail end of the storm. That's when a homeowner's had the adjuster out, they had the project approved, and now they need to find a roofer. Watch that video. What I want you to do is think of this. Think when did the storm hit? How late into the season am I, and where are my customers or prospects at right now based on who I'm talking to? Now, if you're new, let's say you just got hired or you're starting a season late, you need to talk, talk to the owner, talk to other sales guys and say, hey, where are people at? Have they filed a claim? Are we working partial damage? Are we working denials? Do people have a check in hand? Once we identify that, we're going to craft all of our messages, all of our pitches, which are coming next on using that outreach to land your sales. Because if you learn this pitch, by the way, which is, hey, my name is Adam. I'm the roof strategist, and I'm here to offer you a complimentary inspection. Can I hop up on your roof and take a look? BS guys, if that's the one approach that all the mainstream teachings are teaching you. But what if I already had the adjuster out? What if my claim was denied? What if I have a partial payment? What if I have a check in hand? And I don't need an inspection. I know I need a roof. You need to cater your pitch to what the customer needs and what they want. And I'm going to show you that in the next video. But for now, I want you to drop a comment in the comment section below saying all my customers are in either stage one, no claim, stage two, partial payment, stage three, denial, or stage four, they have a check in hand. Drop that comment below. And now you know where you need a springboard. Excuse me? You know where you need a springboard? All of your pitch material too.
