HRnetGroup Blood Donation Drive 2023 - Saving Lives Together | ONESG CSR

HRnetGroup backed Singapore's blood donation drive, highlighting critical shortages especially for Group O donors. Red cells last only 6 weeks and platelets 7 days, making regular donations essential for emergencies, surgeries, and patients with thalassemia and leukemia. Six donors share that the process takes under 30 minutes and one donation can save lives.

Blood has a short shelf life, 6 weeks for red cells and 7 days for platelets. Blood is needed in times of emergency and to sustain the lives of those who have thalassemia, leukemia, or bleeding disorder, as well as those who are undergoing major surgeries. For them, blood donors are their lifeline. One donation can save Chillax.
Uh, no, this is my first time.
First time.
This is my first time.
This is my second time donating blood.
Yes, many times.
It's a bit nervous and it's a bit uncertain. I was very excited because I had a really good experience donating blood the previous time.
I was quite scared.
Journey like when I was 16. Seen. So that's many, many decades ago, by the way. It wasn't like too much thinking about why, so it's really just if I can help, why not?
I have a family member who actually benefited from blood bank, so that's why I thought to come back.
It's a good cause, so I thought why not since I'm eligible. I think it's a very meaningful initiative. You can do your part to actually help more people.
Because I've never done it before, I wanted to at least do it for the first time, so that was primarily the reason why. And also it's part of our CSR program.
It was very fast and very smooth.
I think it was very smooth, like everybody was super professional, they were super nice. And the whole time they kept on asking you like, oh, how are you feeling? Are you okay?
Everything is very quick, you know, from the time you stepped in until you're out, I think less than half an hour you're done.
Don't worry, it's actually a lot less scary than what you would imagine it to be.
I think it's really just go for it, there's really nothing to worry about.
I encourage you guys to try at least once.
You should bring a friend, bring a friend. If you bring a friend, then you can talk while the blood is being donated.
Oh, it's very smooth. I think the people are very kind and they walk you through the process and let you know what to expect as well. So I feel very comfortable in donating blood. With our help, we can help other people as well.
Most of the blood stocks are currently low to moderate level. There is a greater need for Group O blood donors to come forward and make their contribution. First of all, we'd like to thank HRNetGroup for their support and contribution towards the National Blood Programme. We'd like HRNet Group to come on board and spread through the word of mouth to colleagues, friends, family, their loved ones, and those around to come forward and donate regularly. Thank you for your contribution.
