In this brief excerpt from Aitor Epas Guitar’s YouTube lesson, the speaker passionately urges electric‑guitar players to study Iron Maiden because the band’s music, especially its two‑voice harmonies, has profoundly shaped electric‑guitar technique. He selects the song “Wasted Years” as a concrete exercise, explaining that its opening riff on the high‑E string requires precise alternate picking and intentional pick‑breaking on certain notes. He frames the lesson as a practical tool for students to boost their picking accuracy, pick control, and overall technique, positioning Iron Maiden repertoire as essential study material for serious guitarists.
