Amber McCue delivers a guided meditation for modern CEOs stuck in stress and hustle. She walks you from anxiety toward peace and productive action, helping you move from spinning wheels to actual forward motion.
Hey, have you heard there's a new style of CEO on the block. The modern CEO. And she is changing the way businesses are run. She's setting her own hours and her own salary. She's creating a business around what matters most to her. Freedom, family, and impact. And her corner office looks nothing like what you'd see on Wall Street. It's a kitchen t your grandma's lake house, a spacious home office, the living room floor maybe surrounded by kids and crayons or the local coffee shop. Your business, your way. This modern CEO is here to stay. Because when you embrace your role as modern CEO, you will have more freedom, more profit, and more fun. Most importantly, you'll fall in love with your life and a business in a way you've only dreamed. Trust me, this isn't a pipe dream reserved for only a select few. You are the modern CEO. You are creating a business and life you love because a better business means a better life. Hello again. Welcome back. I'm your host, Amber McHugh, and I don't know about you, but things are a little bit busy lately. Speaking of busy and things to do, did you listen to our last episode of the podcast? And did you set your bucket list bingo card up for the year ahead? If so, you have got to let me know and you've got to tag me in, Amber McHugh. If and when you call virtual bingo, and if you don't know what I'm talking about or you missed that episode, head on back to the last episode and check that out. If you want to have some fun with your goals in the year ahead, I think it is so important to have fun with our goals, to have fun with our business, because there is enough pressure out there. I don't know about you, but I hear a lot about the hustle. I hear a lot from people who feel a pressure and a stress to do more, to be more, to make better decisions, to take responsibility, to set boundaries, to set up that webinar, set up that evergreen funnel. Right? Set up those challenges and overall, the pressure to be successful in your business, to be successful in your life, to achieve these goals you are setting for yourself. And this can sometimes lead to a little bit of anxiety, a feeling of stress, or the word that we hear so often because everybody's got an opinion on it, including me. It can also lead to this feeling and this experience of hustle. Of hustle. The definition of hustle is a state of great activity. A state of great activity. It doesn't say a state of great Productivity, not a state of great getting good things for your business done? No, it's just being in motion. Hustle is a state of great activity. And if it's not productive activity, you start to look an awful lot like a rocking chair. The rocking chair that's just sitting there, rocking back and forth on the front porch. And I love some front porch sitting. But if you want to reach your goals, if you want to achieve and move forward and make progress toward living a meaningful life, you can't just be the rocking chair, because the rocking chair doesn't go anywhere. You've got to actually take productive action towards your goals. To do that, I think you've got to get elevation. And I think we've got to look to what the opposite of hustle is. And the opposite, an antonym to the word hustle is peace. Because when we can tap in and we can start to have freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts, emotions, and you could extend this definition of peace further. Right to have and achieve contentment, to be free from people who bring us down in our lives, people who aren't supporting us in achieving our goals. It's endless, right? The freedom that we are seeking. But I thought this was so compelling, because when I speak to people about why they started a business, about why they made big changes in their life, oftentimes it comes back to this idea of freedom, freedom, which is right there as a part of being the opposite of hustle in our definition of peace. So today, in this episode of the podcast, we're not gonna go on and on, and I'm not gonna share a bunch of strategies. And I love, and I think it's so important for us to get in action, right? Cause if we've got strategies and we've got ideas and we don't take action on them, it's not going to do us a whole lot of good. But if we are just taking action for the sake of taking action, and we are in that state of great activity, also known as hustle, without getting strategic, without getting elevation, without being mindful and thoughtful about the action we are taking, we are just going to rock and rock and rock, and we are not going to get where we want to be going. So today I want to share with you something completely unique, something completely different. And that is a guided meditation that is designed to move you from that space and that mindset of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or hustle and into that space of peace and freedom. A space of calm, a space where you make decisions from A place of leadership where you make them proactively and you make those decisions strategically. So if you are listening to this podcast episode and you're not driving or you're not in the middle of something, feel free to take a seat, close your eyes, put your hands on your knees, or maybe you even lay down in a little savasana, careful not to fall asleep. But if you're driving or you're in the middle of something, that's okay too. Take this moment in the middle of whatever it is that you're doing and listen. And I hope you find some peace and some calm as we step into this guided visualization. Now listen to my voice as we move through this journey together. Pressure to do more, be more, and live more comes from every which angle. The person who screams at us the loudest to do more and be more is listening to my voice right now. Yeah, we are hardest on ourselves. Lets call the voice who beats us up to do better every day. Hustle hard, Harriet. Hey, it's okay. Harriet only wants what's best for us. But she's kind of pushy. She wants you to take responsibility and she is screaming at you to hustle harder. She does it out of love. She knows you have it in you. She knows you're going to reach your goals. She just wants you to get there faster. But there's this other voice who just can't seem to get to the place in the room where you can hear her. She's not screaming from the back of the room as she tries to reach you. No, screaming's not her style. She's walking through the room with an air of confidence. You see her lips moving, but you can't quite hear her yet. What is she saying? Can't she speak louder? There's a lot going on in here. Speak up. You notice she has love in her eyes. Yes. You can tell she wants what's best for you, even though you don't even know what she's saying yet. As she gets closer to you, you see. You see her name. Tag her name. Right on time. Rita. Rita knows everything is happening right time. And as she gets closer, you can finally hear her. As long as you keep taking steps forward, you'll get where you want to be. No hurry, love. You won't be late. You can't be late. This is your destiny. Rita puts a hand on your shoulder and instantly you're filled with peace. Peace. The opposite of hustle. Peace fills you and suddenly anxiety melts away. Stress melts away the pressure to be Faster, better, cheaper, skinnier, taller. Whatever it may be for you, the pressure to be able to anything outside of peace is gone. All of a sudden you know exactly what you need to do. And that brings us to the end of this guided visualization. That brings us to the end of this episode. Well, almost. I know it's a little bit shorter than our usual episodes, but sometimes we don't need to go on and on about a topic. To Recenter, I hope this guided visualization helped you Recenter outside of a place of hustle and bustle, and brought you back, even if for a moment, to a place of leadership, a place that's elevated above and beyond the hustle and a place where you can see exactly what you need to do. You know, if before this episode you felt like this, I hope that after this episode in this guided visualization, you are now feeling a little bit more like this. Don't worry about a thing, because Heaven, thank you so much for being here today. Thank you so much for listening to this guided visualization. Thank you for showing up in the world, doing what you do each and every day. If there is someone out there who you think this guided visualization or this shift in perspective may help, I would love it if you would share this with them because we've got a story and we are building in our next series, the Right on Time series in this season of the podcast. And I would love it if you would share this with anyone who it will resonate with, because I want to reach as many people as possible with this idea that we're right on time. You absolutely cannot be late for your destiny. I'll catch you in the next episode.
