Two operators explain how they filled their sober living homes: one secured a direct contract with a medical organization, then got subcontracting referrals through local connections and a family tie. They now receive consistent payments and placements through a Sawas properties subcontract.
Because people always wonder, how am I going to get people to fill up my home? How am I going to make sure I get paid and all of that stuff. So how has that process worked out for you?
Yeah, I mean, it was essentially a company that's gone directly to Medical. Kind of like yourself, Andrew secured the direct contract with medical, and then so they were kind enough to start subcontracting out to a lot of the local organizations here, you know, at the time when we got the contract. And, you know, funny enough, shout out to my aunt, she helped connect us to some people that had the contract. And, you know, we kind of hit it off and we're all, you know, people of faith. And so that's kind of where we found our common ground and realized that we're both doing similar things. And yeah, established the contract. And then from there we were able to fund our residents through the subcontract via Sawas properties.
Yeah, that's awesome. So now you're getting consistent payments from an organization, consistent referrals, and people placed in your homes, and you feel like it's more than enough to grow and fill up a couple more places now. Definitely, yeah.
