This is how you cut your Claude bill

In this short tutorial, Angel Pichardo explains a cost‑saving technique for using Anthropic's Claude models. He reveals that Claude can reuse previously read text (cached prompt text) at a lower price: on the Sonnet 5.5 model cached text costs $0.10 per million tokens, whereas uncached text on Sonnet 5 costs $0.20 per million tokens. The trick is to place any invariant instructions, brand rules, or client files at the very top of the prompt and keep that segment exactly the same across calls, reusing it within a five‑minute window. By doing so, users can halve the token cost for those repeated sections. Angel ends with a call‑to‑action, asking viewers to comment "cache" to receive a five‑step checklist.
