Treat language models like a junior intern, not a search engine. Give them clear, step-by-step instructions instead of vague prompts. Breaking tasks into incremental steps, or chain-of-thought prompting, gets you more reliable outputs.

Treat any language model or any model like a junior intern. So there is very, very ambitious and very attentive and very motivated intern who's just joined your company, who's working for you, just for you, like helping you, like your best employee of the month assistant. How would you describe tasks to them? Like you describe tasks to them in a way that they help them understand. It's very clear and you do it step by step and you don't give them like 5 pages of documents all at the same time. You try to drop feed it to them. You can do the same with these models. So like don't go and like give a very vague task ask with lots of text. Maybe perhaps break it down step by step, or maybe ask them to think about it step by step. It's called chain of thought prompt prompting.
