A level-40 commander tours his Battle Pirates base, showing two Dreadnoughts, six Victory Mortars, and various turrets. He's debating whether to swap flak cannons for surface rockets and considering adding Hammerhead ships with Assault Mortars, but lacks the blueprints. He wants advice on improving his layout to stop getting attacked so often.
What's up guys? I actually have been getting attacked a lot and people have just been flattening me like crazy lately. And I'm still in the 40s level, still getting past that stage where you're complete and utter farm to everyone. And I'm just looking for some advice to my base. So this is my base right here. I have 2 Dreads right here. Currently they have Thuds. Once I rank these bad boys up, I'm gonna refit them with the new Reaver chain gun I just got. Uh, if you look right here, I just got in my Forsaken Mission. And so once I rank these guys up, I'm gonna refit them, uh, bump up their armor a little bit, and then that should be that. They should be pretty solid. I have 4 surface rockets, 2 flaks, and 2 bombards, and I'm thinking I have too many defensive turrets. Like, the 2 flaks is too many, and so I'm gonna definitely change one of these to a surface rocket. If not both. And, um, yeah, my Victory Mortars are all only level 3 platforms because, um, you know, if someone can get shots off at them, then they can die because Victory Mortars aren't really supposed to take hits that well. Doesn't really matter. And then all these are level 4 turrets. So, um, anyways, my dock is also protected. Uh, if you want to give me some advice on my base, it'd be greatly appreciated because I've been getting attacked a lot and I used to get a lot of rim jobs, like people would attack the outside of my base and just rim it. So I had to move my warehouses on the inside. But now that I'm not really carrying that much resources, I might move them back on the outside. They definitely free up a lot of land and I could make this a lot better. And I used to have these turrets wrap all the way around, but people would stop right here where my mouse is and they'd shoot my victory mortars because this is only 2 wide. So I pushed them all up to the front.. And as you can see right here, the Victory Mortars start firing when they're all the way back here. So the Victory Mortars are in a good— pretty good spot. And I have 6 of them, which can pretty much overwhelm anything but a DNX fleet. A DNX fleet could probably, with the amount of Hailstorms they have, handle my Victory Mortars pretty well. But I think occasionally a couple will get through even on a DNX. And I might actually add, um, one of my Hammerheads— Hammerhead A's right here and put Assault Mortars on them. I was going to do that, but I don't actually have any assault mortars. I don't have any blueprints for that. So one of the blueprints I don't have, I'm not even going to show you really because I don't have that many. But anyways, this is my base. Let me know how you think I can improve it. I think my base is okay, but there probably are a lot of areas I could change. And like I said, once I move these outside, I'll probably get a little bit more land.
