Beast is ditching his Call of Duty commentary and "Worst Intros" series because they're oversaturated and risky. He's launching a YouTube news channel instead, reporting daily on subscriber spikes, viral view counts, and earnings. He knows people will call him a money-whore. He doesn't care.

Guys, this is gonna be a really long, complicated, unplanned, not thought out commentary, so hopefully what I say in this video makes sense. There's a lot of things I wanna cover in this video. You've heard it a million times and everyone says this, "Call of Duty commentaries are dead," and I agree now. Like, I've known that, but it didn't really hit me till recently. Like, I'm still doing Call of Duty commentaries, the same thing people did like 6 years ago. It's kinda old, and so many people do it, and it's because it's so easy. That so many people can do it. You really just gotta get your gameplay on your computer and then just talk over it. And due to the fact that it's easy, it's oversaturated. And I know you've all heard that time and time again, and I'm finally accepting that fact. I'm gonna move on from doing Call of Duty commentaries because that's just— it's old, it's overdone. And to be honest, I didn't really have the world's most fun doing cutcoms. Um, I mean, like, reading the comments was really enjoyable to me, but that was about it. As far as making the video, it wasn't that, you know, that much fun to me. And I kinda just started thinking to myself, when did I actually have fun on YouTube? Like, When was it something that I'd kind of daydream about all the time and I just couldn't wait to make, you know, my next video? When was it actually really, really fun to make YouTube videos? For me, YouTube was the most fun when I was talking about how much YouTubers made and like talking about how a channel gained 10,000 subscribers overnight, when I was talking about statistics on YouTube. And I honestly, the reason I think I steered away from that is because at one point I was getting so many comments on my videos saying, You're such a money whore. All you talk about is YouTube money, all this and that. When honestly, that's when I have the most fun on YouTube. Like, I literally could sit down and look at my analytics for like an hour. Like, that's weird. No one I've ever met on YouTube even goes through their analytics, and I spend so much time on mine. I'm just really into statistics on YouTube. It's weird. But also, you know, after high school, I plan on getting a degree in like business and marketing and stuff like that. I just— I like numbers when it comes to YouTube. I don't know, I just, I could look at PewDiePie's stats all day. I just really enjoy doing that type of stuff. And also, not only do I enjoy doing it, but that's also kind of what I built this channel off of. I mean, over half my video views are from videos where I talk about how much YouTubers make. And so I think I'm gonna go back to my roots and start making videos again about YouTube statistics. And honestly, I don't care what people say, I'm gonna try to have fun again, you know, doing research and just making videos like I used to. And if people don't like it, you know, they can not watch it. I don't care if people call me money hungry or say all I care about is YouTube money, because to be honest, I kinda do only care about that. I mean, that's what I enjoy doing on YouTube. It's really weird, but that's just the type of person I am. Okay Beast, okay, I'm fine with that, but at the beginning of the video Beast, you said you're gonna give up on Call of Duty commentaries. And yes, you heard right. I think I'm kinda planning on starting my own YouTube news. I don't know if that kinda makes sense. But I'm kinda re— I just said "kind of" a lot, but whatever. I'm rearranging my room right now so I could at least give this a try. I wanna at least try this where I just talk about, uh, just YouTube statistics, like if a channel got 10,000+ subscribers or if a video goes viral, or just YouTube statistics. I wanna try to make videos daily or every other day, I haven't really thought that part out, where I cover YouTube statistics, like when a video goes viral or when a channel explodes or when something happens Um, you know, like DramaAlert covers drama. I wanna cover statistics on YouTube. So to kinda simplify, or just put my thoughts out there where you'll understand it, like daily or every other day, I wanna do this YouTube news video where I just cover everything that happened, you know. I'll— in that news video, I'll talk about how a channel hit a million subscribers, how this guy's making this amount of money, how this vi— video went viral and how much money it made that guy, and just cover all the news in the community for that day, or that day and the day before, depending on how frequently I upload it. So I think I've k— pretty much explained it where you understand what I'm saying. But just to clarify a little bit more, you know, like DramaAlert is gonna cover all the drama and stuff like that. I wanna be your number one source for just like, uh, statistic news. Like if you wanna know about a video that's going extremely viral, I mean, we're talking about a video that got like 20 million views within a week, or just a channel that's recently taken off, and just things like that. I wanna be that type of go-to person. I wanna make that type of videos. And I know it's gonna receive a decent amount of hate in the community 'cause people think I'm just being scumbag-ish and all I care about is money and views and things like that. But as I said earlier, like, that's genuinely what I enjoy doing on YouTube. I'm the type of person, when I come across a new channel, I pause the video and then look at that person's subscribers count and then look at his total views, look how much money he's making each month. It's weird, but like, I don't even watch their videos. I just look at their statistics and just see how they're doing and then see where most of their traffic's coming from, you know, their most popular video, what percentage of their views is that one video, and just things like that. So to wrap this video up, Tomorrow or sometime soon, I'm gonna try to upload my first YouTube news video, and we'll see how it goes from there. We'll see how you guys accept that. And then another thing I have to mention in this video is the series I've been doing where I make fun of YouTubers' intros. I entitled it "Worst Intros on YouTube." I think I have like 4 episodes out. I can't really do that anymore because, uh, just the whole thought behind that series, uh, "Worst Intros on YouTube," I pretty much steal intros from people. And then not only am I stealing intros, those intros have music, and half of that music is copyrighted. So due to just all the stuff that's wrong with making those type of videos, me stealing other people's intros, me making fun of them, and then me using copyrighted music in a video, it's not a good combo because any one of those people could say, "Oh, Beast is using my intro in his video," and get it taken down, or I could get a copyright strike for, you know, the music. There's just so many things that could go wrong with that series. So even though that's the most popular series on my channel, I mean, it's one of the few videos I've ever made where people demand that I make more, and they all break 200 views, I can't continue to do that because you understand, it's just, you know, copyrighted music, stealing other people's intros, and hating on other people. It's not a good combo and it's bound to get me a bit in the butt. So I'm gonna just stop doing that series. I'll probably take down the old videos before, you know, my channel gets terminated because of that, 'cause I don't wanna lose my channel. Alright guys, that's the video. I think I put it all out there. Let me know what you think. And just, that's everything I wanted to tell you. I'll probably be uploading a lot different type of videos in the future. Than I have been. Hopefully that doesn't bother you too much, but it's just my decision, and let me know what you think.
No exception to the rule, do what you do to get by, 'cause the clock keeps ticking like a metronome and my thoughts keep telling me to get me home, but my balls keep telling me to let me out. Oh, just let me out. That clock keeps ticking like a metronome and my thoughts keep telling me to get me home, but my balls keep telling me to let me out.
