In this vlog, MRBEAST addresses why he no longer posts daily, citing his involvement in baseball games. He then presents channel analytics, showing that his "Worst Intros" series consistently garners double the views and likes of his regular videos. Using this data, he reflects on the common creator dilemma of making videos for pure enjoyment versus chasing higher view counts, referencing how other channels lost audiences after changing content focus. To resolve his own conflict, he announces a new schedule: a weekly "Worst Intros" episode every Wednesday, while leaving the rest of the week open for any content he feels like making. He closes with a community plug, encouraging viewers to dislike a schoolmate’s video as a fun challenge, and includes a brief Spanish greeting.
So a lot of you guys have been asking, "Beast, why don't you post daily anymore?" And the reason I don't is because of baseball. It's literally the heart of baseball season. I'm just kind of busy with games. But speaking of baseball and yesterday's game, it was a conference game. It was tied 1-1. I got up to bat, 2 outs, we had a runner on second, and it was tied 1-1. It was towards the end of the game, and my sister actually pulled through. She recorded my at-bat. I didn't even tell her. So here you go. I'll just let you guys watch it.
¡Hola!
But anyways, you read the title and you know what we're gonna talk about in this video. You see, this is a problem I've always had with my channel, and I'll show you guys some stats real quick. So if I upload a worst intros video, that video will get between 3,000 to 5,000 views, okay? If I upload a normal video, that will get between 1,500 to 2,000 views. See the difference? My worst intro series literally gets double the views of anything else I post. Now when it comes to ratings, my normal videos get around 200 likes, my worst intros videos get between 400 to 600. I even uploaded a worst intros video earlier this week that got 800 likes. I have very few videos with 800 likes. That got 800 likes within 2 days, okay? That is what I'm talking about. The ratio is just, it's so in proportionate between my normal videos in my worst intros videos. Do you see what I mean though? Because, you know, I can make a normal video and it will get 2,000 views, you know, something I was thinking about, something that I thought was cool, make a video on it. But then sometimes I'm like, why would I do that when I can make a worst intros and literally get double the views? And it's just something I've been torn about. Now I'm not complaining to you guys, it's not your fault, you know, it's my fault for making a series that lots of people enjoy and my other videos not being up to the same level of comedy or whatever standards It's by no means your fault. It's, you know, it's my fault for not keeping all my production value on all my videos the same. But this whole "do YouTube for views" or "do YouTube based on what you want to do" isn't just a problem I'm having, you know, it's a problem every YouTuber at one point or another runs into. Take for example the channels that got famous off of Call of Duty commentaries. A lot of them, once they switched to different video games or IRL or just did other things, they lost a huge chunk of their viewership because people subscribed 'cause they were passionate about Call of Duty and wanted to learn about that, and when I stopped posting that, they stopped caring and stopped watching. But anyways, to bring it back to my channel, what I wanted to say is I'm gonna make Worst Intros a weekly series. Every Wednesday from here on out, every Wednesday I'm gonna post a Worst Intros video. Be— well, I— sorry, I got a Snapchat. Uh, every Wednesday I'm gonna post a Worst Intros video, and, uh, the reason I wanna do it like that is because literally every time I start to make a video, I, I kinda think about it, it's like Should I really be doing this? Shouldn't I just make worst intros because it will get more views, it will help me grow more? And that way I don't always have to be like fighting myself whether or not I should make one. I'm just gonna do it once a week. Every Wednesday is gonna be worst intros day, and then the other 6 days, whatever I feel like. And yeah, that's pretty much the video. Real quick before you go, someone from my school— I don't really know him that well, but someone that goes to my school, he has a YouTube channel and he actually uploaded a video where he asked people to dislike his video. I don't know why, but he uploaded a video. I'll put it at the top link in the description, or not at the top, but somewhere in the description towards the top. There will be a link to a video. Click on it. He wants people to dislike it. I don't know why, but you should dislike it because, yeah, I don't know, just say Beast sent you and Beast is awesome. Comment that, something like that, okay? That's pretty much the video. Covered everything. That's a tiger. I, yep, okay, bye.
