In this vlog, Antonio Moniz (Speaker A) reflects on his own YouTube channel’s stagnation—nearly 2,000 subscribers and 300,000 views—and uses that moment to explore how much money Psy earned from his viral hit "Gangnam Style". He explains that the video has surpassed 2.15 billion views and applies a 75‑cent CPM (cost per mille) to estimate the ad revenue, arriving at roughly $1,612,500, while noting the figure could vary by a few hundred thousand dollars due to unknown analytics. He presents the calculation straightforwardly, acknowledges the uncertainty, and encourages viewers to share the information. The video ends with a brief thank‑you from Speaker B in Spanish. The tone is conversational and informal, aimed at a casual audience interested in YouTube economics.

I know, I know, I'm at that point where I start off every video making excuses why I haven't been uploading. A lot of YouTubers get to this point. They, um, when they first start their channel, they're really motivated and they're having a ton of fun doing it, and you see a lot of growth, and then it just becomes stale. You're not growing a lot, but you're still kind of growing, and you just kind of stop. You know, YouTube is— you're not as motivated to make YouTube videos. It's kind of at the point where I've been. But the other day I looked at my channel and I was like, I almost have 2,000 subs. I have 300,000 views, and I don't know, it just kind of made me want to upload. And who knows, if I enjoy this, I'll probably upload some more, so we'll go from there. This is gonna be a short video, but I'm gonna talk about how much Gangnam Style— Gangnam Style, I have no idea which way you say it— has made off of YouTube. You know, he uploaded the video to YouTube, it got a billion views, and then recently it hit 2 billion views. And right now when I upload this, It has 2,150,000,000 views, and you're probably wondering how much money has Psy earned off of the ads on that video, and I'm here to answer that question. So I'm not really gonna beat around the bush. I'm gonna use a 75-cent CPM, so every 1,000 views he gets 75 cents, and a lot of people tell you YouTubers— wait, wow— a lot of people tell you YouTubers make way more than 75 cents per 1,000 views, but they don't. It's right around there. So anyways, you do the math. Let me go ahead and pull it up. I already did it, but I just minimized my notes. I have no idea why. It's, uh, $1,612,500 is how much money he's earned roughly through that video. Obviously it could fluctuate by a couple hundred thousand dollars. There's no way to get a perfect number without actually looking at his analytics, but $1,612,500 is my prediction of how much money he has made off of Gangnam Style, Gangnam Style. And, uh, yeah, in case you were wondering, there you go. Go tell your friends. And that's pretty much everything. I probably will upload a couple more videos soon. I wanna start getting back into the groove of things, but I do appreciate— appreciate you watching this, and I'll see you later.
