PewDiePie makes about $445,000 a month from ads alone, based on a $1.36 CPM calculation. Markiplier and DanTDM earn similar amounts. These figures exclude sponsorships and merchandise, which add substantially more.

Today, we're going to be talking about YouTube money. And before I get into the numbers, let me explain some things. YouTubers obviously make money from the ads on their video. If you don't watch 30 seconds of the ad, click on the ad, or watch till the end of the ad, because some ads are less than 30 seconds, that YouTuber gets nothing. So basically every time you hit skip ad before 30 seconds into the ad, you're essentially taking money away from that YouTuber. And last but not least, please remember that ad blocker is a thing. Now here's how we're gonna find out how much money these big YouTubers are making. Last 30 days, I've gotten 652,000 views, and because I got 652,000 views, I made around $890. So remember those stats because that's what we're going to be using to figure out how much these big YouTubers are making. So based on that stat I just gave you, I made around $1.36 for every 1,000 views I received, and we're going to use that to figure out how much these big YouTubers are making. PewDiePie in the last 30 days has gotten 327 million views. If every 1,000 views PewDiePie made $1.36 like I did, PewDiePie would have made $445,000 in just the last 30 days. $445,000 is a ton of money, and that's just the last 30 days. I mean, times that by 12, that's over $5 million over the course of a year if he got the same amount of money per 1,000 views as I did. So if we use that same formula, the Diamond Minecart made $420,000 in the last 30 days. $420,000 off of playing Minecraft! If Markiplier made the same amount as I did per 1,000 views, he would've gotten $300,000 in the last 30 days. Times that by 12, that's $3.6 million! That is a ton of money for playing video games! Now keep in mind, this is just YouTube ad revenue alone. This does not include product placement, sponsorships, or apparel, which are 3 other significant sources of revenue for some of these big YouTubers. Literally just off of YouTube ad revenue, a handful of people are making over a million dollars a year off of YouTube, and on top of that, thousands of people are making over 6 figures a year just by uploading videos to the internet. Now I know that most of you guys are gonna complain because I broke the golden rule of YouTube and I talked about YouTube money, but I know where my motivation comes from. I love entertaining people, and I really like reading comments. That's probably my favorite part about YouTube, is just seeing how other people react to the stupid stuff I post. I really like reading comments, and a lot of the stuff you guys leave are really nice. And even if, even if a YouTuber's motivation is money, as long as you're being entertained, like, I don't feel like it really matters. That's just me. People are so caught up in, "Oh, he's only doing this for money." If you're entertained, that's all that matters, you know, just, you know, for a general sense. I'm not saying that's why I do it. I'm just saying, you know, if that is someone's motivation, as long as you're entertained, does it really matter? And please don't be one of those people that are like, "Oh, PewDiePie doesn't deserve that money. Markiplier doesn't deserve that. He doesn't deserve—" Guys, life's not fair and these guys actually do deserve what they make. They put in the time to upload videos, they put in the time to grind out content to grow their channel, they put in the work, they hit, you know, the gold mine, they got the subscribers, they worked for their channel, they deserve what they got out of it. I don't care if your dad, you know, does twice as much work but makes a third of what they make. I don't care. Life's not fair. These YouTubers deserve what they get because they put in the time and they did it, you know. I hate when people say that, you know. If you were in their position, you'd want the money too. But anyways, that's basically the video. Let me know what you think. I tried to, uh, I don't know what I— what? Okay, banana. MrBeast, oh! MrBeast, oh!
