Beast breaks down what makes a YouTube intro good or bad using a self-made decision chart. He covers Blender intros with loud music, video-game themes with Minecraft, and real-life recordings with potato mics and handwritten channel names, joking that this chart is his best project yet.

So lots of you guys have been wondering, "Beast, what is a good intro? Beast, how can we not end up on your worst intro series?" And so to answer that, I made this little chart right here to help describe how to have a good intro. And by the way, I got the idea for this chart from BroScience, so I'll link their Facebook down below. So let's just run through this chart real quick. Do you use Blender for your intro? Yes. Does it have loud, annoying music? Yes. Your intro sucks. Blender? Yes. Does it have loud annoying music? No. Why did you lie to me? Your intro sucks. So hopefully that clarified to you how to make a good Blender intro. You, uh, you don't. So anyways, let's move on to video games. So is your intro video games? Yes. Are you 13 years old? No. Your intro sucks. Video games? Yes. Are you 13 years old? Yes. Do you play Minecraft? Yes. Then you're not 13 years old. Your intro sucks. Video games? Yes. Are you 13 years old? Yes. Do you play Minecraft? No. Are you sure you don't play Minecraft? Yes. Your intro is okay. So hopefully that clarifies video game intros for you guys, but let's move on to real life. Real life? Yes. Are you recording with a potato? Yes. Your intro sucks. Real life? Yes. Are you recording with a potato? No. Then why does the quality suck? Your intro sucks. Okay, so that path was obviously a dead end. Let's try the other side. Real life? Yes! Did you sing your intro? No... Your intro sucks! Real life? Yes! Did you sing your outro? No. Did you write down your channel name on paper? Yes. Your intro sucks! Real life? Yes! Singed your intro? No. Wrote your channel name on piece of paper? No. Are you sure you don't play Minecraft? Yes. Your intro is fine. So there you go, boys. Hopefully that clarifies what a good intro and what a bad intro is. I just had to make that chart because there seemed to be some confusion on, you know, what intros I use on Worst Intros and what I don't. I just wanted to make it clear so we all know. And I thought that was a spectacular graph, chart, whatever you want to call it. It just made it plain as day. And so I really am proud of that. That's probably one of the best projects I've ever worked on. It made it so clear what a good intro is and what a bad intro is. So hopefully you enjoyed and hopefully you learned something.
