In this tutorial, the speaker walks low‑level Battle Pirates players through three practical Marauder ship configurations. He explains a low‑armor, fast‑repair philosophy that lets fleets be sent on suicide missions and instantly repaired in five minutes. The first build, the Thud fleet, uses Thud IV kinetic weapons, Reactive Armor 1, and Level 4 and Level 2 Iron armor to stay lightweight. The second, a Mortar build, equips all level‑2 mortars (the heaviest weapons) with low armor and Reactive Armor to maximize damage output while keeping weight low. The third, a Missile build, employs three level‑3 Rapier missiles (or Cutlass missiles if available) with medium armor and Reactive Armor, noting that Guiding Scrambler provides high evade but is often too heavy for this setup. Throughout, he compares Reactive Armor to Guiding Scrambler, discusses weight constraints, and recommends the Thud fleet as the most versatile. He also mentions that full fleets can be built in under a day, emphasizing quick turnaround and strategic flexibility.

How's it going guys? I'm going to show you guys some Marauder builds, and chances are if you're looking at builds for this ship, you're probably at a low level because, uh, let's see real quick, it's the 4th ship in the game, but it's the first ship that actually is half decent. The Longship, Skirmisher, and Gunboat, they all suck. So anyways, these are my 3 basic builds for the Marauder, and the first one is all Thud IVs Reactive Armor 1, and then Level 4 Iron, Level 2 Iron. Now you can go a lot higher with the armor. As you can see, you can use Steel 4 and it still fit on the ship and not overweight it. But I like to use Level 4 and Level 2 Iron because it only takes 5 minutes to repair, which means you can insta-repair it. So you can send the ship out, go attack something, and then bring it back after a suicide mission and insta-repair it because you can speed up the last 5 minutes. So I like to use low armor so it's insta-repairable. You can run high armor if you want to wait and, you know, um, you know, just have to wait in between repairs and sending the fleet out and things like that. Now they have 10% evade, so if you do research Guiding Scrambler, which is kind of hard for a low level, you can run Guiding Scrambler instead of Reactive Armor and get high evade. As you can see, with only level 2 Guiding Scrambler, it has 40% evade, which is pretty good. But I'd recommend Reactive Armor because 90% of low levels do run missiles And that's pretty much that. So here's a mortar build of it. And with mortars, you're going to run low armor and high weapon damage output. So you're going to run all level 2 mortars, which are really heavy, and it's going to take up most the weight of the fleet. And then 2 level 1 iron with reactive armor again, because you have to use reactive armor because like I said, all low levels pretty much use missiles. So you're going to want to run this on all fleets. And then here's my missile build for Marauders. Uh, chances are you're not gonna have Cutlass, but if you do have Cutlass, I'd run Cutlass because it has more range. But if you don't have Cutlass missiles, just run 3 level 3 Rapier missiles, and then you can have some medium armor and, as always, reactive armor. But as I mentioned, you can run Guidance Scrambler, uh, not on this fleet, but on the other 2 fleets you can. This fleet, it takes up too much weight. But on these 2 fleets, you can run Guidance Scrambler. But as it— as you can see right here, Guidance Scrambler is a little too heavy for this fleet. So if you did want to run on this, you'd have to make the weapons a little bit lighter so it could fit something like this. But, uh, anyways, these are my 3 fleets. This is the Thud Fleet. This is the Mortar build, and this is the Missile build. I'd run reactive armor on this, and, uh, they're all pretty effective. Um, I would pretty much go with the Thud Fleet. And remember, low armor so you can insta-repair it. So you can just send it out, attack something, it die, comes back, you insta-repair it, and then send it right back out again. So that's pretty much that. Hope I helped you and hope you may have learned something. These are all really, really short build times. You can build a full fleet of most of these in under a day. So yeah, anyways, thanks for watching.
