Speaker B opens up about living with Crohn's disease, describing how the condition forces an extreme restrictive diet and how eating a ham sandwich, muffin, and cookie triggered severe symptoms and fatigue. B also discusses frustration with being single and an obsession with Whit Lowery's music, while lamenting the constant preoccupation with food that the disease imposes.
For lovers, if love was a jewel. Remember that night that you came to my school, stayed up all night and we talked about life? My parents and I, we would constantly fight. You said when you make it, I might be a stay-at-home wife. Apparently that wasn't right. We're living a moment that lasted a night. And honestly, Mark, got to start to move on with your life. Since sending you a letter, we never would write. Like, what are we doing? Like, what am I doing writing these letters?
That song you just heard was by Whit Lowery. I'll put a link to him in the description. I I don't know why, but I've just really been listening to him a lot recently. I really like his music, which kinda doesn't really make sense because a lot of his music's about relationships and I'm currently single. Ahem. Loser. Sorry guys, but I'm kinda in the mood to complain a little. Honestly, I have no idea why a bunch of random people on the internet would care when obviously you guys have your own problems you're dealing with and don't give two flips about mine. Now having said that, I'm gonna continue to complain about my life. I am white and I am also American, so obviously most of the things I complain about in this video will be first world problems. I've mentioned this in a previous video, which I'll throw a link up on the screen just for fun, that I have Crohn's, which I know you don't know what that is because, you know, no one knows what it is unless you have it. So literally, if you do not have Crohn's, then you have no idea what it is and just how annoying it is because it seems simple and like it's not that bad, but it really is annoying. I know this applies to every human, but for a person with Crohn's, what you eat is what you are. Like, literally what you eat is exactly how you're gonna feel throughout the day. It's to like a 10 times extreme what the normal person is. But here's the biggest misconception I think a lot of people get. I think a lot of people feel like, like, when I mentioned diet, and I think that's because the word diet's associated, you know, with healthy foods. When I say that I'm on a diet for Crohn's, they think, oh, that just means you have to eat healthy food, which is super far from the truth. You have no idea what I'd give to be able to eat an apple every day and feel normal. Like, I can't really eat apples or like grapes or salads, carrots, peanuts. I don't know if a peanut's considered healthy, but there's just so many healthy things out there that I can't really eat and feel normal after eating. Like, to be honest, right now I don't even feel that good. And you want to know why? Because I ate eat ham at lunch. Yeah, I ate a ham sandwich. I'm, I know, living life on the edge right there. I mean, I really am by doing that. That combined with a muffin and a cookie I ate earlier this week has got me feeling really bad right now, and it's super annoying. And by super bad, I just mean like I've gone to the bathroom a lot today, and after I use the bathroom every time, I just feel really tired, like I have to go take a nap. It's kind of weird, but I'm not in as much pain anymore because I have a lot of medicine. It's just I feel tired whenever I eat stuff I'm not supposed to. Like, after I use the bathroom, I feel like I just need to go take a nap, which is super annoying because I'm a teen. I'm supposed to be energetic, and I'm not at all. You don't really realize how much you talk about food until, like, I'm just— until you have Crohn's. Like, 90% of what people talk about— probably not that much, but a lot of what people talk about is food, and you're just like, "Yeah, totally. I love that place. Yeah, I ate there like 3 years ago back before I had Crohn's." Yeah, I faintly remember it. It was okay. Yeah, like 3 years ago. People are always talking about what they ate last night or what they're gonna eat on Friday night, and I'm just like, "Oh yeah, last night, chicken and rice. Friday night? Eh, I'm feeling a chicken and sweet potato that day." I don't know, it's just, it's weird because the only time I feel normal like you do all the time is right after I get my medicine, and then it quickly fades away, and then I feel bad, and I don't know, it's just annoying. Like, why can't I just feel normal all the time? Like, could it— is it that hard, freaking intestines? Why can't you just be normal? Anyways, I'm not really the type that likes to complain a lot, or I complain a lot, but just not about this type of stuff. So I think I'm just gonna end it here. I think that was all I really wanted to say. I don't really know what I said. I haven't really listened to this commentary yet, but yeah, that's my life. I was just complaining. Sorry if you don't really care. And by the way, the gameplay is going to suck because it's like 10:30 and I don't have any gameplay, so I'm probably just gonna grab some random clip off my hard drive. That sucks really bad. I apologize. Not that you watch this video for the gameplay anyways. I kind of stuttered there.
Oh well, see you later.
