Spam404 is a Twitter account that flags YouTube videos for policy violations, but doesn't delete them itself. YouTube reviews flagged content and decides whether to remove it. Creators should follow Spam404 and respond to their warnings, since ignoring them can result in channel termination.
¡Hola!
What is Spam404? You see, I don't think a lot of people understand what it is, and a lot of people have the wrong misconception of what Spam404 is, and I think they just mindlessly hate on them because a YouTuber they know lost videos due to Spam404. And I'll get into what Spam404 is in one second, But something funny happened the other day. I was on Spam404's Twitter, and I saw them tweet @fazepamage— or not @fazepamage, why did I say that? @austinpamage. And they said, pamage, some of your videos are against YouTube's terms of service. They're violating the terms of service. I was like, oh boy, is this about to go down? Because usually when Spam404 says something's violating the terms of service, if you don't do something, it's going to get taken down. And 2 days later, I go on pamage's Twitter. I see him like, WTF, what happened? I lost 100 videos. And I was just like, Spam404 called it. If you're a YouTuber and love your channel and don't want to lose it, make sure you follow Spam404 on Twitter and just make sure you have some way of seeing their tweets, because if you're a big YouTuber, they're going to tweet at you whenever they flag your videos and give you time to do something. But most of these YouTubers ignore it. Now, who are these internet police people called Spam404? What are they doing? What's their purpose? Here's what they do in a nutshell. They have a Twitter. You can tweet at them reporting a video. Whenever a video is reported to them, they'll determine whether or not it violates YouTube's terms of service. If they think it's wrong, they think there's tags in the description, they think it's just anything wrong with a misleading thumbnail, they'll report it to YouTube. And then YouTube determines whether or not the video is getting taken down. You see, Spam404, which I don't think everyone knows this, does not have special rights. They cannot take down videos. All they do is they mass flag a video so that it appears on YouTube's radar, and then YouTube investigates the video and determines whether or not it needs to get taken down. Now let me give you my experience with Spam404. Okay, one day I came across a fake VanossGaming. This guy was literally downloading VanossGaming's videos and reuploading them and just spamming thousands of tags in the description, just saying like, "VanossGaming, VanossGaming, Delirious," all these random tags. And he was getting hundreds of thousands of views every week off of stealing VanossGaming's videos. So I tweeted @Spam404, I said, "This guy's impersonating Vanoss." He's abusing tags in the description, you should take him down. Spam404 tweeted back at me saying, "Thank you for reporting the video." I go on that YouTube channel the next day and it says, "This channel has been terminated." So Spam404, I think, is doing a good job. I mean, they're keeping YouTube clean and they're keeping everyone on the same playing field. Like, they're actually holding us to the YouTube standards. You see, if it wasn't for Spam404 doing what they're doing, then a lot of people would be able to get away with sketchy things. Another thing I'd recommend to YouTubers is I tweeted @Spam404 and I said, "Can you follow me so I can send you some messages?" They followed me, I slid into their DMs, I said, "Is there anything wrong with this video, this video, this video?" I linked them the videos. They watched the videos, they looked at the description, they said, "No, these aren't videos that we'd ever report." I said, "Thank you," and then they unfollowed me. So pretty much, if you're curious whether or not your videos are, you know, abusing tags and description or doing anything wrong, you can just ask them to follow you, and they're really professional. They'll follow you and answer your questions and let you know if you have any chance of losing your videos. Many, many people, despite by Spam404, but just keep this in mind whenever you see another video about someone talking about how much they hate them because they lost a channel because of Spam404. Remember that Spam404 is not deleting their videos. It's YouTube that's taking down their videos, okay? And Spam404 is just holding us all to the same standards. I really believe if it wasn't for Spam404, a lot of people would spam a lot more tags in their description, and it wouldn't be about content or anything. It'd purely just be who can type the most tags in the description and things like that. They're just— they're keeping us to a standard, and they're making sure people don't just spam tags in their description. And to be honest, I like it. And if people's channels get taken down, it's because they're ignorant. They didn't ask Spam404 if they were violating content. They ignored Spam404 when they tweeted at them that they were about to take down some videos, and they're just trying to cheat the system. And it's okay that Spam404 got their video taken down. Alright guys, so that's pretty much everything. This is going to be my only upload for the day. I'm about to go to the hospital and get my medicine for Crohn's. Every month I go to the hospital and get medicines for my Crohn's. It's a normal thing. I'm about to do that. That's gonna take literally all day, so I won't be able to make my second upload for the day. Sorry about that. I know I haven't really been too, like, consistent with that schedule. I'm going to try to start getting 2 videos a day soon. I'm sorry, just this is something I can't really avoid. I'm gonna be at the hospital all day. But hopefully you guys enjoyed it. Let me know what you think about the video in the comment section. I stuttered, I'm sorry, I'm done.
No exception to the rule, do what you do to get by. Cause the clock keeps ticking like a metronome and my thoughts keep telling me to get me home, but my balls keep telling me to let me out. Oh, just let me out. That clock keeps ticking like a metronome and my thoughts keep telling me to get me home, but my balls keep telling me to let me out.
