I'm your host Ashley Alderson from the Boutique Hub and I can't wait to chat. All right, you've heard me talk about.
The five part process of the perfect sale as it relates to brick and mortar. Well, today on five Minute Friday, let's talk about the five step process for the perfect online sale. All right, so the first step in the process, remember, was not the kiss of death. Question of is there anything you're looking for? Can I help you? And the answer is always no. I'm just looking. So the first step in the process is simply relating. So, so how that translates online is what's the relatable content that you're sharing online? You might laugh thinking about it's pointless for me to shake my booty on TikTok. Well girl, I'm not asking you to shake your booty on TikTok, but I am asking you to share a quote or share a meme or share a funny story or do some kind of silly sound bite from TikTok on reels that is simply relatable. Your customer at the end of the day simply wants to sit and scroll on her phone and find something she can relate to. So you might as well let it be your content. Your customer doesn't want to hear from you. Buy this, buy this, buy this, buy this. All the time. They just want to relate. So are you sharing relatable content that's going to get people to click or stop the scroll or maybe leave a comment so that they can simply start relating with you and then they can get served whatever you're going to post next. The second part in the process is discovery. So how are you discovering what your customer's problems are so that you can solve them? Discovery can be done a lot of different ways online through sharing collections that you're featuring through through asking simple relatable questions like how many of you have kids and you're a busy sports mom and you're struggling with what's for dinner tonight? What's your go to crock pot recipe? Well, pretty quickly you can discover it like wow, I have a lot of really busy moms that have this as a problem. So maybe I am discovering that something that's quick and easy or for them to wear to sports games or an easy outfit idea on the go or a quick gift or a quick bundle is something that really fits my audience. How am I discovering what it is my customers are really looking for? Or am I asking questions about where my customers are going next? So I understand are they dressing for something? Are they gifting for something? Are they hosting something in their home? What's on their calendar? How am I discovering that so I can provide them a solution to their problem? So relating discovering the third step then is suggesting once I really feel like I know my customer, I know her pain points and I'm able to relate and build a relationship with her, only then can I start suggesting something that might be the solution to her problem, right? I can start suggesting and making sure in my product copy, in my social media copy, in any of my sales copy, whether it's email or text or whatever, I can suggest a solution to her problem. So pants that cover her muffin top. I got a muffin top. I need pants to cover it. Right? We all do. We know that. Maybe I can suggest to her a piece of clothing or a gift that's in a certain price point that's not cheap and disposable for, but something that's quality and lasting and is worth giving as a gift or wearing multiple times is going to put up with wear and tear, right? Maybe her problem is that she just battles with body image issues and so part of you suggesting is again helping her understand how to dress her unique body type and what type of fits and fabrics and flows are really going to be flattering on her. So make sure before you suggest you have discovered and you've related so you know what to suggest online and a flow of your daily social media content, email market marketing, it's going to do all three of these things pretty seamlessly at the same time.

Not only does he coach inside of Boutique Hub Black and for many of our members in retail bootcamp, now he's Taking all of that knowledge and he's put it inside of the Facebook Ads Masterclass. So from everything to understanding how meta works, a lot of the common struggles that people have with connecting their Facebook ad account and really the A to Z process of what it takes to understand your audiences and setting up the right kind of ads and knowing how to measure success, all of it's covered inside. So I've got it linked up for you today in the show notes. Check out the Facebook Ads Masterclass.
The fourth step in the process is closing the sale. And I'm telling you what if you're a brick and mortar store and you're trying to sell online, A lot of you probably struggle with this because you think, oh, I'm already brick and mortar. I'm just going to put my website up and people are going to find it and they're going to find my website. They're going to check out. No, they don't. You have to attack your online business just like you would walk through the back door, turn the key, turn on the lights, open the business and tell people, I'm here. You have to do the same thing online and with marketing every single day. So when you're sharing products and a collection and new arrivals, making sure it's well lit, it's merchandise and people have the exact link to the products, they know how to buy it with every single social media post. That's critical, that's closing the sale. You're allowing them to get into their shopping cart with one single click, not, hey, I hope you find my website. And then scrounge around in the new arrivals and maybe you'll come across that sweater that you were looking for. No, give them the exact link to the sweater every single time you post it. Make it easy to close the sale. All right, Fifth part in the process is supporting the sale. So it is more cost effective to get your customers to buy more or to buy more often than it is to acquire a new customer. So support them after the sale, ask them to come back again, give them a coupon, give them a warm, friendly email, give them a retargeting Facebook ad or a series of emails and texts over time. Send them a postcard while you're at it. Make them feel good. People don't remember what they bought from you. They remember how you made them feel. So support them after the sale and maybe you'll be lucky enough to get their business once again. All right, that's the five steps of the process of the perfect online sale. Hopefully the brick and mortar. Five Steps to the Perfect Sale was also helpful to you in last week's five Minute Friday. That's it, you guys.
