In this guided meditation, Axél Antojai Carrasquillo introduces the Agni mudra and chant as the opening move of a Chandali (Tummo) practice. He explains that the Sanskrit mantra “Agni” (fire) is repeated 108 times while holding a specific hand mudra (thumbs together, then brought inward). He recommends using a mechanical counter or mala beads to track the repetitions, emphasizing the importance of a straight spine and the sensation of fire rising up the spine. He describes expected physical responses—heat, heavier breathing, dizziness—that subside with continued practice. After completing the 108 chants, practitioners recite a prayer invoking the ultimate power of fire and visualise a blue flame that purifies the body, targeting specific ailments such as kidney problems. The session lasts 10‑15 minutes, with optional variations in hand positioning and duration. The instruction is practical, supportive, and encourages personal adaptation of tools and visualisation techniques.

So this first move is the agni chant. It basically brings in fire energy. It awakens all the fire energy in your body so that you can start using it for higher and higher manipulation. Now, the main mantra that we're going to be using here is agni. Agni means fire or the source of flame or all powerful fire. Right. It's basically the spirit of fire. Agni in Hindu alchemy is considered the God of flames, of creation. Okay. I personally really love to use these gym counters. Now, you can buy these easily on Amazon for like eight to ten dollars or so. And I'm pretty sure you can find it in a local store of some sort. But what I like to use these for is just to keep track of the mantras. Now, there's different ways people keep track of mantras. They might take a mala, which is a beaded necklace similar to rosary, and usually those have 108 beads. So you just go around one whole rotation around your mala. Some people like to do the mantra mentally and keep track of the mantra in their head. I personally like to use this counter where I end up saying, agni.
Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni.
And I let the counter do all the work so I can be really immersed in the session. And every mantra that we perform is going to be 108. So that's why I really like having a counter, because once I see it's 108, I know I can switch over into my next position. Okay. But do whatever works for you. I know it's different for each person. So some people find it more heavily concentrated when they practice it mentally versus through a mala or through a counter. So the first move is very simple. You're going to take, take your hands, right? And then you're just going to close them. Like you're about to do two thumbs up, right? Like, yeah, two thumbs up, right. And then all you're going to do is bring those two thumbs and bring them inward like this. You're going to hold this mantra, this mudra, for 108 repetitions of Agni. So what I like to do, like I said, I'm going to just make sure my counter is clear. I hold my counter in my hand, I go like this, and I try to, like, make sure I can click it with another finger of mine. So I like to do that. This pretty good feeling. There you go. And I hold it and then I begin.
Now, you want to keep a straight spine while you're doing this, and while you keep the state straight, straight spine, you're going to notice that there's like this fire sensation that starts going up the spine, almost like an electricity, right? And you want to hold your arms in this position as much as you can.
Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni.
Until you reach 108 repetitions of AGNI. Now, during this time, what you're doing is you're basically summing in summoning in all the fire in your body, and you're saying, awaken. And it starts getting concentrated in the spine. So you might feel like you get hot, you might start breathing a little bit heavier, you might feel a little bit off, kind of like dizzy. That's okay. Remember, after a while, a lot of these symptoms are going to start dwindling. So allow yourself to just start off.
Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni.
Every day when you practice your chandali meditation, you start off by so summoning the fire element.
Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni. Agni.
Once this is done, you're going to set a major prayer. And that prayer is, I now awaken, summon and confirm the ultimate power of fire and chandali into my entire being. I command this energy into the fabric that creates my reality. Sacred fire, burn away all diseases and negative energy until you turn pure blue. Turn blue. As you practice this meditation and you're done doing the Agni 108, this is when you're going to set this intention in this prayer. You're going to wait two to four minutes. Now, I teach this in different ways depending on the class, so I'm going to attach a few different workshops that I've done with this so you can have a general idea of the different ways that you can incorporate this into your life. Once you're done with this, try to just sit down and imagine a blue flame over washing everything. So you're sitting and you're on fire, not you're on this blue flame. If you feel like holding your fingers this way the whole entire time while that blue flame starts consuming, assuming you, you can. If you feel like you want to bring your fingers like this and then bring them downward while that blue flame starts really doing all the work for you, you're fine as well. If you're dealing with specific issues in your body, like you're having kidney problems, imagine the blue flame going into the kidneys and burning away any unresolved dilemmas or matter that might be stuck in the kidneys, for instance, kidney stones or any other bacteria that might be sitting in there. And allow yourself to do this first half for about 10 to 15 minutes.
