In this talk, Axél Antojai Carrasquillo challenges the common interpretation of the popular phrase “ask and you shall receive.” He argues that the phrase works because the universe functions as a living organism that actively communicates with individuals through synchronicities—real‑time, meaningful coincidences that serve as a conversation between the cosmos and the asker. Carrasquillo critiques the prevalent view within Law of Attraction circles that treats the cosmos as a mere ordering system or a merchant from which one can place orders. Instead, he proposes that manifestation is fundamentally relational: the law of attraction is the cosmos itself, and effective manifestation requires recognizing and engaging with its living, responsive nature rather than merely issuing commands.

You've probably heard that angel saying, ask and you shall receive, right? But have you asked yourself why that is? Is it the spirit guides? Is it God? Is it something else? Through my experience, I've come to understand that it's because the universe is an organism. It is alive. And that's why when you ask for something, it returns that value to you. The problem with this, though, is that a lot of people don't end up seeing when the answer actually comes to them, that when the universe responds to them, it's actually having a conversation with you. And that's usually through synchronicities. Synchronicities is literally the cosmos having a conversation with you in real time. One of the things that I end up seeing a lot in the Law of Attraction, community and spiritual community is that they treat the cosmos as like an ordering system. Yes, you can order something from the merchant that is the cosmos, but the merchant is still a person. What I'm trying to get at is that there's a bunch of people who try to have a relationship with the Law of Attraction, and they miss that the law of Attraction, or manifestation itself, is the cosmos.
