What's happening? So, fam. So we're back with another tarot review. And you know this tarot review I've been waiting for for a hot minute. Here it is, the Sailor Moon Tarot. It's a magical tarot from Arisa Chibara. And basically like this started off as a Kickstarter. I ended up finding it like two days after the Kickstarter ended up finishing, and I was really like, adamant about it, so I kept contacting Arisa and I basically ended up getting a second copy of it when it got re released this year. So this has been. I've been waiting since last year for this, and I'm kind of sort of really excited for this. Let me just throw this out there. The packaging was pretty intense. Like, if I would have done a video of me unboxing it, you guys would have probably laughed. The box is pretty legit, pretty simple. You know, this is coming from a homemade shop. So let's pop it open. If you don't know who Sailor Moon is, it's a lot of little gay boys. Superhero comes with a little bit of. And a lot of little girls too. She's their superhero. So the box is pretty cute, legit. It's pretty simple to, you know, go ahead and use. The cards have a gold foil to them and the back. Okay, so number one, right off the bat, the quality of these cards is not the best. I hate to say that I paid about a hundred dollars for these. There's another thing that I just instantly noticed. Let me see if I can pull it out for you guys here. Here, let's see. Do you see that? Do you see the cut? Let me see if I can line it up a little bit more. This cut right here, you see that? That perforation? For $100, this perforation should not even be there. The cardstock is also pretty weak. These are gonna get scratched pretty easily. They're a cool concept because there are no Sailor Moon cards already. But look, here's a great example. Pretty scratch so this, this could have had at least a gloss applied to it. Could have definitely been on more sturdier paper and the machine should have been able to cut this off. Not now. The back end at least. You can't tell whether or not the tarot is going to be reverse or upright. But I think it would have been cooler if this name was not there. It was just the design by itself. That would have probably been bigger, like a better vibration altogether. The thickness of the deck is pretty thick compared to the quality of the cards. I've definitely messed around with cards that are thicker than this, but the deck is not as thick. So let's go ahead, look at the quality of the cards. The breakdown. So we have the fool, the Magus, the High Priestess, the Empress, the, the Emperor, the Hierophant, the Lovers, the Chariot. As you can see, like, you know, it's, they're already scuffed up justice. I appreciate the thought process behind this, like the art and the fact that there's a Sailor Moon representation of this tarot that's really cool. But I'm still kind of hung up on the fact that this is a hundred dollar deck and I'm already receiving it with scratches. The cut is crap. And you know, you could say that this is the first copy, the beta copy, a fan copy if you really needed it. But I've definitely paid way more for a deck and it's come back with higher quality. And this is also not for like a beginner. This would be more so for some, somebody who knows tarot a little bit better. And I'm not going to lie to you, for as long as I've been waiting for this deck to kind of like show up, I'm kind of like over it already. Like, I kind of sort of don't even want to work with it just because it's already so scuffed up. The quality was a let down, the pricing was a letdown, and that just comes with the territory. That's why I do this, so you guys can make your own final decision. This is literally the same quality of card that has like this, the Book of Cloud Chibi deck that I ended up buying on Amazon and did a review about that. Like the Chibi cards themselves are about the same quality and I paid about $30 for. The other thing is, when you shuffle this deck, because of the quality of the cards, they're going to fray. And because of the cut on the edge too, because it wasn't clean cut, it's going to fray. So this Deck is not going to last you very long, especially if you're a perpetual tarot user, especially because of this already being scratched from the machine. You're also going to end up noticing that, like, they're going to just look really worn after just a couple tries. They're going to peel as well. This one did come in, like, a gold or rose gold color. It has all these characters from Sailor Moon, as you can see. Okay, so the quality is crap. Their potential of lasting is not going to be the greatest. Putting them together back together is really hard. This is going to, like, go ahead and ruin your cards after a while. They don't mix together very well because of not having a really good gloss. They're pretty big. See if I can shuffle them. See how this works. Okay, so tell me something about my self. You see how hard this is? Like, all right, so let's just say these are the ones that are coming out. Nine of wands. Yes. I'm definitely going through that vibration. Ace of Swords. Definitely cutting my way through reality. And which one's this last one? The two of swords. I'm meditating on something specific. So, I mean, the Queen of Pentacles. Yes. I'm creating something for the community at large. I mean, in terms of reading, the reading's not bad. It's just a matter of whether or not you're going to want to be grabbing these cards. And, you know, they just don't shuffle because of the fact that the card stock is really the card stock more than anything now. Some people are going to probably watch this video and be like, oh, well, why are you slamming this deck? And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Because it's the only Sailor Moon deck that's out there. And it was a Kickstarter. Like, come on. Even for a Kickstarter, I paid more for a Kickstarter and gotten a better quality result in terms of Tarot than this one. And, like, even though it's a fan deck, I'm going to keep it because, you know, I have other fan decks as well. The pricing, I think, is what really gets me, especially for the. The weight, the fact that, like, it's kind of really unprofessional to get a. A pair of cards that have scratches on them already. And you can say I'm being really harsh if you want, but, I mean, this one's already scratched. You know what I mean? I. You don't. You don't go ahead and hunt for a deck like this, and you want a deck that's this. This Beautiful to last you just a couple tries. Like, especially for somebody like me, like, I do Tarot on the regular, this deck is not going to even last me a full year because it'll start fraying. So rather, I keep using the deck, let it fray and completely, like, you know, break apart, or I use it until I start seeing the fraying, and then I have to put it away and only use it for specific occasions, which some people are really cool with that. But, like, I want to be able to say, hey, I can use my Tarot deck whenever I want. The fact that they don't shuffle easily within each other, that's another huge problem. Maybe that might change because of the fact that, like, you know, you're gonna go ahead and and be shuffling them and they'll get, like, oil and stuff like that on them. But the fact that this cut, like, great example right here, you see that cut right there? How I like, protrudes. You see that that's going to come up and shuffling, and that's probably why the shuffling earlier was also very difficult to do, is because of that cut. So, I mean, me. Me saying, like, if you're a really hardcore Sailor Moon fan, then, okay, get this deck, like, this probably is something that you might want just to know that it's not going to be of quality if you're an avid user. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this deck to anybody. Unfortunately, even though the idea was really cool, this is the best Sailor Moon deck copy that's been done by fans that I've seen thus far.
