Episode 8 - Yearly recap - Highlight

Wedding planners are just invaluable, honestly, for planning a wedding in New Zealand. Everyone speaks the same language as you. That's a big key point, right? So everyone gets exactly what you're saying, whereas there can be a language barrier over here. And you might say, I want this, but it actually ends up being something else.

You know, planning my own event, the suppliers just go awol and they just like, we're gonna put that there, and we're put that there. I could not imagine if that was my wedding day and I didn't have someone. And to be fair, I did. I actually employed a freelance planner that used to work for Valley Brides, but she worked in elopement. And she did a fantastic job, but she not used to the big events that we plan and, you know, my level of ocdness. So there were things that were picked up that if I hadn't been there, I don't know what I would have walked into.

And being able to make someone's thoughts into reality is honestly something that just I don't think can ever get old.

It was a celebrity wedding, and even though we didn't have to sign an NDA, we will respect the privacy of that wedding because the media hasn't found out about the details.

Have to love.

That day, I feel like I was cursed, because anything that could go wrong that day went wrong.
