So I was, I don't know, I want to say 14 or 15, and my mother had noticed that my front teeth were what we would call buck teeth, so they were bucked out, and she wanted me to have a nice smile, so she took me in to see an orthodontist. And I can remember looking at the table in the consultation, looking at the shiny white models. And they were models of my teeth, and they were pointing out where they were buck teeth and they were forward, and he was telling my mother, we have to pull this tooth and that tooth and this tooth and that tooth and the wisdom teeth that haven't even started coming in yet. We gotta dig out all 8 of these teeth in order to bring your daughter's mouth back and make those teeth straight.
