Is your business filled with people who aren't all working together as smoothly as you'd like? Or maybe they're doing things that are kind of inconsistent with the vision and the purpose and the things that you set out when you created the company. So I was working with this company not too long ago, a large construction farm in the western US and their business was in a bit of chaos with hundreds and hundreds of people all doing different things in different places and not all of them consistent with the founders vision and values for the company. So they went through the scaling up process, they began to implement some of the tools and practices including the daily huddle. But one of the things that they did in the daily huddle that made a huge difference was reading and reflecting on a manifesto daily. So the manifesto, somebody would read this thing, it would take 30 seconds or something and then a couple of people chosen at random would reflect on it. Right now how do you create a great manifesto? Well, it usually includes or a great place to start is purpose, the values, purpose the why of the work, core values, how you get things done, the brand promises, what people can expect from you and the BHAG, the transform 10 year or longer, huge goal that you've created for the company that you're working towards. Right. That's a great beginner kind of manifesto to get you started right away. And it takes all of 2 minutes to read and reflect on this on a daily basis. But by doing that they started to get everybody aligned and focused and doing things in the way that they were intended and greatly and rapidly improve the operation of the company. So get started with yours. Purpose, core values, brand promises. And the BHAG is a great beginning on this thing. You can throw in quarterly theme or rallying cry if you've got something like that working and then just ask a couple people to reflect on it.
