A short monologue advising listeners to treat emotions as informative tools: notice triggers, ask what the emotion is trying to teach, and avoid acting while emotional. The speaker recommends an "ABC" routine—Awareness, Breath, Choose—to pause and make choices in a logical state aligned with goals, with specific relevance to CEOs and entrepreneurs.

Emotions are a really great tool to learn. If you can ask yourself during the emotion, which is a really hard thing to do, is to actually become aware and say, why is this motion present and what is it? What is what caused it? What is it trying to teach me? However, when we go to take action out of the emotion, I find that if you're in a logical state, you think much more clearly. So one of the things I like to do when I'm highly emotional is learn what was the trigger of the emotion and what is it trying to tell me. But I will not act or I do my best not to act in emotional state. I choose to and I the analogy or what I use is ABC awareness breath. And then I choose and I try to make my choices based off of my goals in a logical state. So I think emotions are really, really profound. I don't think we should bury our emotions down as a CEO, as an entrepreneur, but I think if we respond in an emotional state, it can be detrimental.
