A founder's spouse parked a branded Mango truck at their wedding without permission to promote the startup to the groom's influential family. The stunt was pure opportunism, but it worked.
So I got married a month after we started the business. And my business partner, like, that's his zone of excellence, right? He was a marketing genius. And he knew I married into a pretty wealthy family here in the Valley, and he knew there's going to be just a lot of influence there, a lot of money. And, you know, I don't think my wife passed off on it, but he made sure there was a green Mango truck parked out front of the wedding venue, so that when people were walking up, they saw the green Mango truck. And that was kind of our first, like, hey, we're here to be the best, and we're here to do what we want to do. And so it was just kind of a funny time of life and funny move that my business partner made without my wife's permission.
