Blake Robert Templeton argues that spiritual power comes from living truth, not just knowing it. He cites Matthew 12:34 to show how speaking from the heart becomes a legislative act against spiritual opposition, and uses Jesus' 40-day fast as an example of embodying truth to defeat the enemy's strategies.

What most people miss is that heaven doesn't move when you think truth. So most people are like, man, I got my Bible study in the morning, got my worship in, I'm full, I'm going to get depleted, so I'm going to have to do that again. When you think truth, that's not when heaven moves on your behalf. Heaven moves on your behalf when you're one with truth, when you're fully aligned with truth and out of the overflow of your heart. Matthew 12:34. It flows. You speak truth. You legislate from heaven. You tear down the imaginations, the strategies, the campaigns of the enemy. Let's look at Jesus in Matthew 4. So Jesus is being tested. Every time the enemy spoke, Jesus responded from heaven. Let's process before he spoke. Remember, the enemy is trying to get Jesus to take in poisonous emotions, but Jesus wouldn't just naturally take in poisonous emotions. So he's putting him in a scenario of pressure, fasting for 40 days. God allowed the enemy to be used like a pawn so that Jesus could bring God glory.
