Yeah, I believe a lot of men lose confidence because they start breaking promises to themselves. It starts with like small things, like rationalizing, I'll do it next time. Well, this time's different, but then it becomes a daily encounter. I remember I was at the gym one time and I thought I'd been going to the gym every single day. No, I thought about going to the gym every day. I went to the lady at the very front desk and I was like, how many times have I swiped my card? She's like, 2. 2? I'm like, no, this can't be right. I thought I'd been there like 20, 25 times. 25 times out of 30. That shows you how much you can have an emotional conviction in your head and not have your heart even aligned. So we want to have a resolve that's unbreakable because Psalm 15:4 says, "He swears to his own hurt and does not change." We want to be a man who changes. We don't got time for that. We want to be a man who's always climbing to be the best man he can be.
