Blake Robert Templeton explains why Jesus waited until the fourth day to raise Lazarus, when Jewish law said the dead could not return. He connects this to marriages that seem impossible to save, arguing that only God can fix what looks broken beyond repair.

Jesus heard his best friend was dying, and on purpose, he waited 2 more days. Lazarus died. Not because he didn't care, not because he was busy. The Bible says that he loved Lazarus, and because he loved him, he waited. So look, I know some of you right now feel like God has gone silent on your marriage. You've prayed, you tried, you've changed, and nothing. But here's what I want you to hear. There was a common Jewish belief back in the time when Lazarus rose from the dead. So when someone died, their spirit would hover near the body for 3 days with the possibility of it returning. So after the 4th day, everyone believed it was completely over. No one was coming back. No hope, no miracle. Dead. Like, dead meant dead dead. So Jesus, if he came on day 1 to day 3, they would say, hey, maybe he wasn't really dead. But Jesus waited till day 4. There was no explanation left. No debate, no confusion, only one conclusion. When it's impossible Everyone knows only God can do that. Your marriage, your marriage situation isn't too far gone. It might just be day 4. You hear me?
