Blake Robert Templeton argues that grace isn't permission to stay broken. Real grace, rooted in Jesus's blood, makes you vulnerable enough to let God expose and heal what's hidden in your heart, creating actual change instead of just intellectual agreement.
What's so beautiful about the blood of Jesus is it's not how we would think about it in the church with the grace card that's completely broken. The guy doesn't change. He accepts Jesus intellectually but doesn't change. And then he just calls grace every day and somehow that covers everything. The power is in the blood, not that intellectual excuse. So when we have the power of the blood, we then can come vulnerable daily and have him show us parts of our heart that aren't right. And then we allow him to heal, strengthen, resolve that issue, and we actually change. That is the power of the grace of God.
