Blake Robert Templeton argues that church attendance and Bible reading alone don't threaten Hell. Real power comes from fearing God so deeply it ignites hatred for evil, driving you to cut every addiction and poisonous influence. That's what makes darkness tremble.
Chapters
Hell doesn't fear a religious man. Hell doesn't fear a man who goes to church. Hell doesn't fear a man who reads his Bible. Because if the enemy has already gained authority, the man reads his Bible linearly. The slave lord trembles when a man fears God. When fear is awakened and this boiling hatred for evil comes alive inside of him, the enemy trembles in his presence. And when a man actually not only has the boiling hated for evil, but then completely severs all the addictions because he hates the thing in which is coming in, which is poison, and he no longer allows it to subdue that man. Hell mourns his existence because he literally is threatening the entire infrastructure of darkness itself. That is a son of wisdom.
