In this brief sermon, Blake Robert Templeton interprets Colossians 3 as describing a public spectacle where Jesus removes the "medallions of authority" from a powerful soldier or four‑star general and transfers them to the righteous. He asserts that the blood of Jesus grants believers authority over all evil, and warns that when believers lack clear, polarized spiritual voices they may surrender that authority back to the enemy. The enemy is portrayed as a game‑like villain whose existence only makes the story of the righteous’ already‑won victory more dramatic.

Jesus says in Colossians 3 that Jesus, in a public spectacle, took the medallions of authority off of the soldier, the four-star general, the slave lord, putting him as a public spectacle, as nothingness. And he gave these medallions of authority over to the righteous. The blood of Jesus gave you authority over all evil. That's the travesty. When you don't have the polarized voices, we just abdicate that authority back to the enemy. He's like a villain of a game where the future victory of the righteous has already happened, and his existence, it just makes a good story worth telling when you conquer over the enemy.
