Blake Robert Templeton tells men they haven't lost purpose, they've swapped it for money and status. He cites Mark 8:36 on gaining the world but losing your soul, arguing that worldly wins can't fill the void. The answer is stepping back and becoming the man you're actually called to be.
So when a guy is like, man, I'm at that crisis mode. I don't know what my purpose is. I don't have any value. I don't feel worthy. We don't lose our purpose. We have replaced it. We replace it with money, status, and distraction. The problem is we just didn't realize those things weren't going to fill the void. We mistook ambition for identity. And Mark 8:36 says, what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul. So right now what we do is we've got to call a timeout, cut the emotions, and become the man we're called to be.
