Blake Robert Templeton warns that the flesh corrupts the soul like poison through an IV, blinding the mind with destructive desires. When you claim to want God but cling to darkness, your inner voices merge and you become double-minded, unstable and unable to receive from the Lord.

The uncircumcised, broken, uncrucified flesh roams freely in the confines of the soul. Remember, the flesh is the umbilical cord to the slave market. It's the methodology, the way, the IV inside you. It's dripping the poison, and it embeds the appetite of destruction in your nature. And that poison coming in comes as feelings that turn into thoughts, which blind the mind and brings the soul into subjection with darkness. So for the person who says, but I want God, yet I still want that darkness, ah, my friend, they have lost the polarization of the two voices. And when those voices become one, God says in James 3:5 forward, that man should not receive anything from the Lord. He's a double-minded man. Unstable in all he does.
