Blake Robert Templeton teaches that Christians have authority over their circumstances through Jesus's blood, not just react to them. Seated in heavenly places, believers rule over emotions, thoughts, and the spiritual realm. Templeton uses the image of severing an umbilical cord to the enemy and Christ removing Satan's authority.

You don't react to life. You don't react to life because you're not a pawn in the game of life. You're to rule over life from the blood of Jesus. Now here's where it gets dangerous, and dangerous in a good way. It's the authority through the blood. How you know someone's walking in the blood of Christ is if they have authority over their emotions and thoughts, because that shows you they're sitting in heavenly places in the unseen. My body might be in a washing machine down here, but when I've severed the according to the enemy, I now take the invitation of heaven in Ephesians 2:6, and my inner kingdom stays seated in heavenly places. So that's my soul, my spirit, my mind, my heart. So when I stay seated in heavenly places, I now can have authority in the unseen. I can now take authority over the trajectory of what the enemy is trying to accomplish. I now can thwart him because I'm above him, because the Lord in Colossians took the medallions of authority off of Satan when Christ rose again from the dead, and he gave those medallions of authority to those who severed the umbilical cord and came to have full allegiance in Christ.
