Blake Robert Templeton teaches a five-step framework for spiritual warfare: identify the specific negative emotion the enemy targets, refuse emotional agreement, return to your seat in Christ for peace and authority, raise the shield of faith to replace lies with God's truth, and draw the sword by speaking declarations in Jesus' name to claim authority over circumstances.

What is the enemy trying to get me to feel? Is it frustration? Is it fear? Is it stress? When something doesn't go my way, when a curveball happens, discern the attack. Number 2, refuse the alignment. Do not agree emotionally. Guard your heart. Realize that this negative feeling is trying to actually come inside of me and gain legal access. And he will take. So the first battle is not your situation. It's your agreement with the enemy's emotions. Step 3, ascend internally. Return back to your seat in Christ. Peace, authority, clarity. Step 4, raise the shield. Remember, the shield of faith is actually offensive. It's God's thoughts and emotions. So raise it. You know what God thinks and feels. It has no bearing on what the enemy's trying to do. So it's the truth over lies. And step 5, draw the sword. Speak out loud, not passive, not weak, but with conviction. Speak authoritatively, powerfully. Right now, in the name of Jesus, I hold ground right here. Today will be the best day ever. And all momentum is moving in my favor. The Lord loves me, he holds me high. All circumstances are under my feet, I take authority over them. And joy to this moment to obey Jesus.
