Win the Battle Before It Starts

In this short motivational sermon, Blake Robert Templeton teaches that the real battle in spiritual warfare is not the external circumstance but the believer’s emotional agreement with the enemy. He outlines five practical steps to resist enemy‑driven feelings: (1) Discern the attack by identifying the negative emotion the enemy wants you to feel; (2) Refuse the alignment by not emotionally agreeing with that feeling and guarding your heart; (3) Ascend internally by returning to your seat in Christ, claiming peace, authority, and clarity; (4) Raise the shield of faith, which is offensive because it represents God’s thoughts and emotions that outweigh the enemy’s lies; and (5) Draw the sword by speaking declarative, authoritative prayers aloud, claiming victory in Jesus. The sermon is exhortative, urging listeners to actively claim authority, joy, and divine favor over circumstances.
