Blake Robert Templeton tells men they must choose between following God or the enemy's voice, not both. He describes this as severing an umbilical cord to the "Slave Lord" and connecting instead to the Father, which rewires your emotions, thoughts, and worldview through the Holy Spirit.

When a man reconnects to the Spirit of God, that's a game changer. Because to reconnect to the Spirit of God, you've got to actually sever the umbilical cord to the slave lord's voice. That's a defining moment of defiance. You're literally saying, I'm going to shift the voice that runs me. Because clearly there's only two sources, but there's three entities. Two powers, three entities. And I am not a power. I don't have my own sourcing. So I'm either going to be sourced from the Slave Lord, or I'm going to be sourced from the Father's voice. And if I get that, and then the man severs the Slave Lord's voice, that is a moment of defiance, because he's saying, I literally have to go connect here. And what the enemy then tries to do is like, no, no, you can keep both. You can have both voices. Just go both ways. It's gonna be good. But the holy rebellion is about saying, no, I'm not double-minded. I'm actually fully in allegiance. I have an umbilical cord to heaven. There's literally a dripping of ancient wisdom flowing within me. And the Holy Spirit then rewires the operating system of a man's soul. And that changes everything. His emotions, his thoughts, his convictions, his appetites, everything. The lens in which he sees the world transforms. And he now walks in authority.
