You Haven't Heard God Because Your Soul Is Constipated

In this sermon Blake Robert Templeton explains that the biblical "fear of God" is not a timid respect but a deep, trembling hatred of evil that drives believers to avoid separation from God's presence. He argues that many Christians have been away from God's presence for so long that they no longer recognize what it feels like to be in it, which explains why they struggle to hear God. Templeton attributes this spiritual deafness to the enemy’s influence, describing it as a "constipated" soul clogged with poisonous lies and voices. When a person truly hates what God hates, the hatred becomes a physical, visceral reaction—heat, sweating, a pulsating fire—signifying a genuine, God‑aligned fear rather than a mere intellectual assent.
