Blake R. Templeton tells husbands that their wife's distance isn't rejection but a response to stress they created. Remove the triggers, restore joy and playfulness, and she'll bloom again.
Chapters
Man, I just want to prophetically speak. The version of your wife that you miss deeply, it's still there. She didn't disappear. She's adapted to the environment that you created. So instead of blaming her for distance or blaming that you have fallen out of love, remove the stress triggers. Remove what you brought into the marriage. It's actually killed the fire. Remove that and then reset and go back to restoring the joy of the Lord, like Psalm 51:12. Restore the joy. It doesn't matter the chaos you have at work, bring that joy, that fire, that excitement, that playful adventure that you used to have, man, your girl will come back. All the flower petals of that bloom will come back and she will become more radiant than ever before. It's your choice.
