Preqin now predicts future performance in its forecasts. Private equity and venture capital returns are leveling off as valuations reset and exits decline, but both asset classes are still expected to deliver double-digit returns.
Something that is new in our forecast that I want to point out is we started to predict projected performance. We definitely see a leveling off of the returns for both private equity and venture capital. We see valuations coming down and resetting. Exits have come down, which we'll see in the numbers as well. All in all, it seems to be a moderation. It's still decent returns, double-digit returns, which you're not going to get from other asset classes, but it's something to be aware of.
