Grant Norwood says the company drills a mile below any water table, preventing contamination. He separates hydraulic fracturing from wastewater disposal, which he says caused Oklahoma's induced earthquakes, not fracking itself. Public confusion conflates the two, making fracking an easy target.
I mean, we're a mile away, you know, if you're, if you're kind of looking into the earth, we're a mile below any water table for anything that we're actively pursuing. Right. So there's so much separation there. I mean, there it's, it's isolated from each other. So, you know, that hadn't really been any of the issue. And there's been like in Oklahoma, they've got some issues with water disposal, but it's, because they're disposing of so much water into certain zones that are prone to earthquakes. It has nothing to do with the fracking. The disposal, you know, that's a, that's more of an issue than the fracking, but people don't look into the issue enough to know which one is which. Uh, it's just fracking's an easy target because it's so prevalent and so common in today's oil and gas industry.
