2024 Publishing Predctions and Goal Setting for Authors

Julie Broad walks through what's coming for authors in 2024: build your email list, expect AI voices in audiobooks, and stop chasing one big launch. Instead, focus on sustained platform growth and selling directly to readers.

Foreign. Hello. I didn't realize it was live. I was happy 2024. Welcome to our first live stream of 2024. I see Kent and Renee have already said hello. So welcome. Do chime in and say hello and happy 2024. All right, so today's session is going to be kind of a two parter. One is we're going to take a brief look at 2024, what's ahead, and I want to hear from you, I want to hear what you're focused on, I want to hear what you see coming in 2024 that authors should be paying attention to. And then we're going to not do a big goal setting session, but I am going to give you a moment to think about what you want to accomplish. Kind of that one big thing that at the end of 2024, you look back and you go, wow, I did that. And so I want to give you some thoughts and how I've been looking at goal setting to perhaps inspire you to go for something that you haven't yet set your sights on, but you want to give you a little push, give you a little, you know, motivation, inspiration and all of that to reach for something. So we're going to do that today. So, so welcome and I am excited for another year. I think 2023 really laid the foundation for a of really good developments for authors in 2024 and for those who want to be authors that are working on a book, that are going to be launching a book in 2024. There was definitely some frustrations, definitely, definitely things like the Amazon chaos and even some of the issues we encountered, you know, with some of the uploads on ingramsparks and hardcover, you know, issues, some that still are, we're still trying to sort out lots of little glitches as AI really came on and you know, took, took a lot of, took a lot of accounts by storm, some spamming it, but also just, you know, trying to protect consumers from spam books and spam accounts. There was lots of extra issues. So it was quite a year. And I think in many ways the publishing and especially the self publishing landscape changed in 2023 more rapidly than probably, you know, other than when Kindle came out and you know, we were able to publish ebooks easily. I think the publishing landscape changed more rapidly in 2023 in many ways than I think it. It has ever so, so exciting. But of course change is always, you know, one of those things that creates opportunities and creates challenges. So it's all how you take it on and look at it in your perspective. But a couple things, and we've, we've talked about this a lot, which is why I'm not going to spend a long time recapping and you know, even predicting what's coming ahead. But I think, you know, I have to mention that I really believe, and I'm not alone, this is kind of a widespread thought, is that we've entered the age where authors are going to be doing business directly with their readers more than ever before. And so, you know, if you have a nonfiction out, a nonfiction book that is out and you're not collecting email addresses, then that should be the number one thing you do this month, is set yourself up to collect email addresses. And I just filmed, I actually did a video shoot yesterday. Nothing like ringing in the new year shooting videos, right? But I shot some videos yesterday and one of them was on three ways you can create a simple page to collect email addresses. And they're, they're cheap to free. Free to cheap to do. And while it's, I still think you need an author website to do, you know, there's some really great tools out there. So that's going to be coming on the channel, on the, on the YouTube channel real soon. So you'll have that. But I think if you're not already collecting email addresses and building your author platform, that should be one of the things you do this month. Not even this year this month because, you know, selling direct requires that you have people to sell to. Now on that note, speaking of what's coming up in 2024 in February, we are doing our course book marketing magic. And it's kind of tagline is no audience, no problem. So this is a six week interactive course. So my book marketing manager, Sarah Bean at Book Launchers and I are going to be teaching this six week course. And so we're going to help you craft and you know, we'll actually even design a media kit for you. We're going to work on your book positioning. We're going to look at how you're pitching your yourself and your book to other people's audiences. And you know, it'll be one part teaching and one part hot seats and letting you us what you've got. We're going to keep the class size small so that we can work with you directly and make sure that by the end of it, you're pitching yourself to other people's audiences and finding speaking engagements, podcasts, media, you know, whatever is a fit for your book. We are going to work with you to try to be able to do that. So Angela's probably already posted the link on the side over there, and I just haven't checked yet, but it's booklaunchers. Com Magic, if you want to join us and get in. And we have a couple of incentives for joining. I think before the end of the month, like I said, we are only going to take, I think we're capping it at 18 people so that we can make sure we give everybody enough time. So it's going to be small so that you know that that is another factor. So don't wait until it starts on February 8th to go, oh, I need to join the class, because you'll miss out if you do that. So that's happening. And then we also are going to be doing a book marketing mastermind, which will have, you know, more hot se more support, and it will go on for an entire year, and that will give you a lot more support. So if you're interested in that, that will be Sarah and I, and probably other people from our team as well, getting involved. You can email us@teamoklaunchers.com for that. We don't have a webpage set up for that piece yet, but we will soon. All right, so all of that is to say that, you know, pitching yourself to other people's audiences is a way to grow your audience. It also will help you sell books and create opportunities for your brand and for your business. But, you know, growing your platform should be one of the things that you really, really intensely focus on in 2024. You know, unless you're one of those people who wrote a book one and done, and you don't really want the book to, you know, build your brand or build a business, you know, you wrote it for legacy or one of those things, then I get it. You don't have to do this. But if you wrote that book and you plan to have another book or you're planning to sell something, you know, service speaking courses, then growing your audience is really, really important. And I've just shot a bunch of videos to help you with this. I did another one on reader magnets. And just giving something of value in exchange for somebody's email address is really, really important as well. All right, so let's just see what you guys are talking about over here. Hello, Rob. Welcome. Glad to have you here. DF Efren's in the house. Let's see. And created by Susan Montgomery is also here. Hello. Hello. Those weird. Can't post comments to. Okay. All good. Okay. So as we are checking this out and talking, as I mentioned at the beginning, for those of you who maybe weren't here is. I'm curious what you think 2024 has in store for us. Not just, you know, it's not just me that has ideas and thoughts. You know, I've talked about how I think direct selling is really important and AI. I think by the end of the year, we are going to be able to, you know, publish our audio books anywhere from, you know, with AI or synthetic voice or whatever you want to call it, digital voice. I think we're going to have that available widespread. It already made leaps and bounds in the last couple of months. My hope is that we can use a clone voice of ourselves, you know, clone our own voice and be able to publish that audiobook by the end of the year. I think it's very, very possible that we'll be able to do that by the end of the year. Not saying everyone should or will want to, because I do think there's still going to be, you know, human voice is going to have an advantage always. Well, maybe not always, but certainly for, you know, the foreseeable future, but for people like me with the book, my original book, More Than Cash Flow, it still sells. I don't have an audiobook version. I do not want to go to a studio and narrate it. But if I could easily produce an audio, an audiobook using a synthetic voice, I would do it in a heartbeat. So. So for some of us, that can be a great solution. Others have gigantic books and they might not want to spend the time in the studio or invest the cost of getting that edited, produced, and mastered for audiobook. So. So Susan says, I think more people are going to be taking a close look at their social media and drop platforms that are just not working for them. Cheers to that. We already saw that in, you know, I mean, my book was self promote and succeed. Let's see, you can see my little plaque behind me. But that book was made not, I wouldn't say out of date, but last year was a little frustrating because I talked about Twitter and then, of course, Twitter became X and then people, you know, abandoned it to go to threads, and then people hated Threads. And then, you know, social media, Social media changes all the time. And I agree with you. I've seen a lot of people find social media ineffective and just focus on one platform. And I think that's a great plan, really. You'll find where you like to be and where your audience is connecting with you and you'll stick with it. I mean, I've always, not always, but since I launched book launchers, YouTube has been my focus. Right. So if you want to comment and chat with me, commenting on a YouTube video is the best way my team manages our social media. If, if we happen to be connected personally, you'll see that I'm, I repost the stuff that my team posts on the Book Launchers page and you'll see occasional pictures of my son and I hiking, a little bit of what I do in the community and that's about it. I'm just, I'm just not a huge fan of, you know, Facebook and Instagram and you know, all of the things and X and all the places. So. So it's interesting. I think, I think that could be the case. I also think that, you know, people continue to have information overload and being on all the platforms all the time just adds to that as well. So. Interesting theory. So anybody else have thoughts on what's coming in 2024? I have a couple other things that I will mention. Again, if you've been, if you watched my end of the year recap or you've been getting the newsletter, this isn't, this isn't going to be that surprising. But the other thing I think this year could see is less emphasis on launches. And the reason for that is just because, especially as self published authors, you know, the list drive, you know, Wall Street Journal bestseller list is gone. The USA Today bestseller list went away, came back and now it's, you know, handled by bots and it's messy and you know, a lot of people aren't giving it a lot of credit. And I think, you know, Amazon has already, we've all, most of us have already kind of gone, well, you know, yeah, I'll get the bestseller flag. But what does that really do? Because everybody who's released a book basically calls themselves, calls themselves a bestseller because they get the orange flag. So does it really differentiate you and give you credibility? So I think a lot of people are already not emphasizing that big list launch and they're focusing on the bigger picture, long game. And if you want to see a video where I talked about that, I think the Alex Hormozi book launch and the video that I released on that, Angela, if you want to drop that in the comments, please. I think that's a great example of how people that have massive audiences and are investing, you know, millions or at least lots and lots of six figures into a book launch, they aren't driving for a list. And they, you know, they could be dominating a list, but instead they're focusing on that audience and platform growth and their bigger picture goals of what they're actually using the book for in their grander ecosystem. And while Alex's launch is an example of something big and gigantic, I think on a smaller scale, a lot of authors are going to be doing this as well and just focusing on consistent momentum versus a gigantic, exhausting push for a launch. Or if they do a gigantic, exhausting push for a launch, they're going to do something more similar to what Alex did, which is sell it direct so that every purchaser is now on his list. Well, not every purchaser, because he still had his book available everywhere books are sold, and it's still ranked, so he was still selling it there, too, but a lot of people opted to buy it direct and get the free hat. All right, so what else do we have? Efren says, I sense 2024 will be a year of collaboration. Authors, entrepreneurs, and speakers unite. Yes, I think that's great. I think more and more collaboration amongst everyone just sets us all up for better success. And I mean, Efren, you've already been doing this. I've seen you out there collaborating with lots of people and meeting new people. I already told him this, but he's going to be. Efren is actually in the next video that's coming out on Friday. Now. Funny. Funny enough, the. The book, the title of the video is I think the seven mistakes to avoid in 2024. So I'm sure Efren is really excited to find out that he's featured in a video titled the Seven Mistakes. But it's not a bad thing, I promise. It just sounds bad. All right, let's see here. Angela, put the video link in there. Thank you. And. And Kent said something about somebody being misunderstood, but he's got a heart of gold if you give him a chance. I don't know what that is. Oh, I see. The new brand. You. Yes, my book. My. My book is the middle child that nobody likes. But it's actually, you know, got a lot of gold. Thank you. I agree. KJ says, I recently attended a small business meeting, and it was noted that most people in general will be pursuing E commerce. Yes, yes, completely. I think, you know, we've seen a lot of instability in the economy, and even if you have a job and if it's a stable job, I think a lot of people are looking to create that, you know, and it's been around for a while that, you know, the side hustle thing. But I think a lot of people are looking to create a little bit of independence or options for themselves. And becoming an author is one of those things where you can become an author while you have a job, so long as it doesn't create any conflicts with your work. You can become an author and start to create that side business inside brand that gives you options. So that should you ever want to branch out on your own, you can do so and you've got something to to platform off of from there. So I think that's a great prediction as well. And let's see, I'm just laughing at, you know, people talking about effort being in my seven mistakes. Something to look forward to on Friday, my friends. All right. And Kevin's late, but you're here. So welcome, welcome. Anytime, anytime. And then Susan also said I have found many interesting business and communication videos lately that seem more helpful than author related videos. Oh, interesting. I'm curious what topics those have been and you know what else we should cover here. Okay, so I'm just one of them. I'm just checking my notes here to see if I missed anything. Okay, so you guys can keep chatting about what you think 2024 has in store. I'm going to go ahead and do our our prize for the people who comment the day a video is released. So if you are new around here, then you should know that commenting the day a video is released. And there's new videos every Tuesday and Friday except in July when I take a little break from posting. And so if you comment the day a video is released, you get entered to win some of our fabulous swag. And we have, we have our mugs. This is our vintage mug, glasses and stapler not included. And we have our oh so soft journal. And then of course if you haven't already read Self promote and succeed or Self publish and Succeed, we also have those and those are the prize options for our international friends because shipping our mug has proved to be problematic in the international market. So let's see. Okay, I've seen what you guys are doing, so I'm going to go ahead and pop over to our random name picker so that we can choose a prize. And you know, Angela, I just realized I forgot. Do you have the link for the Streamyard name picker as well for picking the prizes for live? I forgot to make a note of it. So if you want to message it to me, probably text it to me so that I can then Use that so you don't have to randomly pick people, but we will pick one of the. The next thing we're going to work on is your goal for 2024, and we will pick a goal. So we're going to do one random. So if you haven't already said hello, make sure you're saying hello. And then we're also going to pick one. One person who shares their goals. All right, so I have to stop talking for a moment to share my screen so that I can give you guys a peek at our random name picker. Here we go. See? Share screen random. Where's my random name picker? It doesn't show up. One moment. Let me make sure it's loaded. It is. Okay, let's try this again. That's weird. It's not. Maybe it's this thing. Nope, it's not that thing. Well, that's strange. I might have to do this without you guys seeing it. I don't know why it is not letting me choose it, but I'm just so you know, the little random name picker is rolling here. Thank you. I got it, Angela. And we are processing all the people who've commented for the last two weeks over the holidays. And our first prize winner is. Hawk Godman. And sorry, these. These user IDs are a little funky. I don't know why it does that. So, Hawk, thank you for commenting the day a video was released. Please email Angela@teambooklaunchers.com and let her know what prizes. What of the prizes you would like so you can choose one of Self Publish and Succeed, Self Promote and Succeed, our oh so Soft journal or our no Boring Books mug. And then of course include your mailing address. So I'm going to go ahead and click this button again. And there we are. Our next winner is Bonnie Lester. I don't know if Bonnie's here today, but Bonnie, congratulations. Thank you for your comments. Actually, I think she's been. She was entered into this one four times. She commented on every single video the day it was released. So Bonnie definitely earned that one. All right, so some people are already commenting on your goals, which is great, but I'm going to talk about goals here for a second. Just checking what else you guys are talking about here. Like you should said, if you were given a job at the library, would you also be an author as well? I think being at the library would make you want to be an author even more, wouldn't you think? I don't know. That's kind of an interesting Question. Okay, great. All right, let's go talk about goals for a second. I'm glad you guys already got started on thinking about it. So one of my friends sent me this stat yesterday, actually, and he said he read the CEO within over the break, and one of the stat that, like, really stood out to him was that 39% or, sorry, you're 39% more likely to achieve your goal if you write it down. Like, that seems almost too simple to be true, but writing your goal down just makes it that much more likely that you're going to achieve it, which I thought was pretty powerful. So. So if you haven't already written your goals down, you know, definitely sit down, take a few minutes, and we'll. We'll have a minute now to write one goal down. The next thing I like to do is check in and see how I feel about the goal. Like, not just, like. Because a lot of us are in our head when we set these goals. And I also think that we set goals that are, like, incrementally more than what we did this past year, right? So kind of like, you look at your, you know, we were taught to do this in my mba. You know, look at the forecast and go, okay, what do you think you're going to do next year? 3% more? 5% more? I kind of feel like that's how we set goals. And, you know, that can mean you make incremental gains, but I think a lot of us miss those goals because it's boring. There's not that. Something that gets you jazzed and gets you excited, and you think about those things that make you make a leap in your life that kind of make you almost like a different person. And I think writing a book is one of those things. I think you are. You know, there's, like, before the book and after the book, you. And then there's other things in your life, too. You know, starting a business can be one of those things. You know, growing a team, all of those. All of those things. There's lots of milestones, I think. You know, kind of like parenting. You know, there's the before. Think about those kind of things. You don't necessarily want to go for something that completely changes you every year, but I think that sometimes that's a really good thing to do. And if you look at your goals and go, oh, yeah, this is totally doable, I have a feeling that either you might achieve them, but who cares? Or, you know, you might not even achieve them because you'll be bored with these Goals by the end of the year. I like to look at the goals and go, do I feel a little scared? Do I feel a little excited? And I even equate it back to. Doesn't even have to be a business or author or publishing goal. But like many years ago, you know, I started, I did an. I signed up for an adventure race. And the adventure race was navigating, so orienteering, mountain biking, kayaking and, and trail running. And at the time I had not done any kayaking other than like a little recreational paddle here and there. I was mountain biking, but not great. And I certainly didn't know how to use a compass. And so but I signed up for this eight hour adventure race. I was like, oh my God, right? And then I had to start training. I had to, I hired somebody who could teach me how to actually prep for these things. I started, I joined an orienteering club so I could figure out how to run around and read a map. And so I had to learn all these things to become this person that could do this adventure race. And then I, I did. I don't know, I don't even know how many adventure races I ended up doing. I loved it for many years, but it was like triathlons. It's a part time job training and being ready for those kind of things. But that kind of a goal, you know, I only throw that out as something that, you know, it gets you excited but you're scared because you're like, oh my God, I don't know if I can do this. There's a lot of pieces, I don't know how. And so if you think of those kind of things, if there's one thing, you don't have a bunch of these on your list. But if there's one thing that you're like, man, I would love to do that, but I don't know how. And you kind of get stuck there. You could write that down anyways because. And again, one of the books I read in 2023 that I think was one of the better books for me was 10x is easier than 2x. And it's been in my mind the whole year since I read that book because it's from Dan Sullivan and I've forgotten Benjamin Hardy. And it's a lot of us kind of go, oh, I don't know how I'll do that. But the question shouldn't even be how it should be. Okay, who do I know that can help me with this? Which is, you know, as I look at a lot of the things I've done, I always go, okay, I got to go hire somebody to figure out how to do this. I've just gone and committed myself to something crazy. Now I got to go figure it out. And I, I have a trail of those kind of things in my past. But I can tell you that every time I've done that, whether it was moving to the States, starting a new business, you know, adventure racing, writing my first book, all of those things, you know, they're scary, but they're exciting. And even if I don't quite hit the goal, like the whole goal, I end up somewhere much further than where I started and almost always in a cooler place. And so that's, that's kind of the excitement that I think should be behind a goal that you write down for the year. And again, a lot of times, like, I think the, you know, it's a good goal. If you're going, God, I want to do that. I'm excited about it, but I don't know how the heck I'll do it. And of course, if writing your book is that goal for you this year, will, we have a lot of ways that we can help you with that at Book Launchers. So I do hope you reach out to us because we have our course, we have self published and Succeed Live, which is happening again in March, which is a 12 week course to help you get the book written. Of course we have our services with writing coaches and writers that can help you and then our editorial team and the marketing team to help you market it at the end. So if writing a book is one of those goals for you, we are the who that can help you. You don't have to know the how. And I think that that's one of the things to think about when you are planning your book. All right, so in case you haven't written down your goal, I just wanted to share that. And I'll share a quote that I actually wrote down this year as well. It's from Price Pritchett, I think is how you say his name. I read a couple of his books this year too. Really short books, easy to read. But I wrote this one down and it says the real limits won't box you in, but the false ones you're carrying around in your mind are a self imposed prison. The real limits won't box you in. So all of us are like, oh, I want to do that, but right, that's, you're, you're, that's not the real limit. That's the false ones you're carrying around in your mind, which are a self imposed prison. So the real limits won't box you in, but the false ones you're carrying around in your mind are a self imposed prison. It's kind of like in a lot of ways, you have to. You have to forget about sensible thinking. Right? If you think about, you know, common sense and sensible thinking with your goal setting, in a lot of ways, I think that limits what we try to achieve in. In a time period. So anyways, you don't have to have a publishing goal and you don't even have to tell us what your goal is. You can if you want, but I just want to give you a moment to write that goal down. And while you do that, I will go ahead and do our random selection for all of you who are here and have said hello. And then Angela will have the not so easy job of choosing one of our delightful goals as our winner. So there you go, Angela, you can work on that while I work on choosing a random prize. And everyone else, you can work on writing your goal. Okay, I actually got this one to work. I don't know why our random name picker wouldn't work, but we can see who our giveaway is. So we've got 16 people who have commented so far. So we're drawing from those beautiful people. And if Angela wins, she doesn't count. Susan, congratulations. So, as always, you can choose your prize and then email Angela@teambooklaunchers.com with your mailing address and then what you would like. All right, so I love this. And. And Angela said now is the time to send in your goals for 2024, if you haven't already. And I'll read a couple of them while we wait for Angela to announce our winner. And Efren says action is the cure. Yes, the missing piece is always action. That's my own quote. And let's see here. So we've got. Jennifer says happy New Year. Goal is to get my first year in at my new day job and register for school in the fall. With school comes investment backing, maybe on the last. So congratulations. I mean, that does sound like a leap forward and some exciting and scary goals. Goals. So I love it. And let's see, I saw something else that was kind of cool. Somebody had it like an Image audiobook. Yeah, Susan. Susan said also, sometimes it feels like we need to do something, but what do we really want to do? And I think that's where I was inherently going is to kind of forget about that. Like list of things that you kind of feel like you should do and rather focus on that one thing that's got you excited and interested. And for me, one of the things that last year, at the beginning of last year even, I was like, I'd really like to do a software, a piece of software, and I had an idea for it and, you know, we've gone forward with that and we're still working on it. And one project turned into two because that's just how I roll. And so we're rolling out our first piece of software here, hopefully this month, as a beta to our clients, which will be a portal. So not project management software. We've already got project, a huge robust project system behind the scenes, which I don't even log into because it scares me. It's so detailed in so many steps. But we've built a portal on top of it for our clients to be able to see where their project is, what they're working on, what the due dates are, have a progress bar and a few other pieces behind it. And so for me, software development is a whole different skill set. I have never done anything like this before, learned some expensive and time consuming lessons along the way, but, you know, it's been interesting and I'm definitely making a leap forward with this. And then the second piece of software that hopefully we'll be able to talk to you about in March or April, you know, will be something that's for the wider community. And, you know, also, you know, one of those things that I feel like even if it doesn't necessarily work out the way I want it to, I'm going to end up somewhere else from where I am today. And that's exciting and that's kind of the goals that I get excited about. Maybe it turns out way better than I think, or maybe it doesn't quite do what I think it's going to, but it opens some other doors and learnings along the way and I love those kind of goals. All right, let's see. I'm just waiting to see if Angela has a goal. Let's see. Scotland said, should I invest in some type of flipboard to write up a long term 2024? I mean, everybody has their own method for doing this, goal setting and goal approach. So you can tackle it however you want. Kevin said. Completing my third book, being on one podcast per month and winning more book launchers. Swag. Yay, Kevin. Did you guys see. I don't know if everybody was on our deep dive, but our latest special swag is our yeti, our beautiful yeti mugs. So we did this for our holiday extravaganza and we pull them out from time to time. Not today, we're not giving away any of those today, but we do have some left. And so those will be up for grabs on special things. While I'm waiting for Angela to post our winner, I want to mention a couple things coming up. So in two weeks, right here, same time, same place, we have somebody from Drop Cap, which is a foreign rights agency, coming on. So if you've got foreign rights, you know, getting your book translated and published in another country, you've got questions about that, join us because we're going to be doing a live stream. I don't usually do interviews for these live streams, but we're bringing her on because we now have a partnership with them for our clients and you can still access their Drop Cap marketplace. And we'll explain all of that and, you know, just answer any questions about foreign rights. I like foreign rights because what happens is really quickly, you're going to get more in two weeks, but really quickly, what you get is usually in advance, so you're going to get paid up front and then you're going to get ongoing royalties for a book that's going to be in a different language in a different country from where you are. And the publisher is giving you money for this, so they're going to be marketing it. You don't speak that language. You're. You're not going to shoot videos in that language. They're going to put the push behind this or they wouldn't be giving you an advance. So I think it's great. This is a wonderful way to make more money off that book that you've written. And not all books are a good fit. I mean, we presented them with self publish and Succeed and Self promote and Succeed. And they're like, yeah, there's not much appetite in the foreign market for those kind of books. But, you know, we've already had four of our authors get picked up by them for representation and we're working on others too. So, you know, an exciting and exciting thing. And I think it'll be a great, great session that I'm really excited to offer all of you here on bookclunchers tv. And just looking, I chose kj. So Angela chose kj, whose goal is my book is to get my website set up in the next 60 days. So congratulations, KJ. You are today's winner for our second prize for being here live. So email Angela, @teamaunchers.com with your address and your prize selection. So the other thing that we have going on this month is on December 20th. Why did I. I didn't write it down and I've just forgotten yet. December 20th at 10am is our deep dive for the month. And I don't know if you've got the registration link handy, Angela, if you saw my note before we came on live, but the. The Deep dive training on the 20th is going to be by Alyssa, our production manager, and Dan, our manager of manuscript development. And they're going to help you get your book done in 2024. So it's going to be a great session for those of you who are earlier in the process so, you know, idea to even like mid. You know, the manuscript's done and you're heading into edits. I think it's going to be a really, really great session for you to know what's your next step, what do you need to do? And get some great tips, get questions answered from two people who are, you know, coming at this from a different perspective than what I do. So Dan is a writer on our team. He also manages writers, and he also does a little bit of coaching and content editing as well. So he's got a really great depth. He's written some really great books himself, as well as, you know, ghostwritten for. For. For some of our clients. And then Alyssa oversees everything from, you know, editing all the way through to upload for distribution. So any questions you have about the different editing, the different accounts that need to be set up, all of those things, I think Alyssa is going to give you a ton of insights on that. And, and Angela updated the registration link, so book launchers, dot com forward slash, deep dive. All right, so. Oh, January. Not December. Did I say December? I'm stuck in 2023. Oh, my gosh. All right, that's all I had for you guys today. I. If you have any. I don't know if there's questions. Are there questions that have come in? I didn't see any. Angela, I've got time for questions now. Oh, Efren, thank you. I see there's a mistake. I assume that's on the client happenings email that you're mentioning that. Is that the town hall? I'm wondering what's on the 24th. Okay, just waiting for questions. If you've got a question, now's a good time. And yes, Kent, Angela is always the real mvp. If you haven't been on one of these live streams, where we haven't had Angela. You may not know how much she is doing for me behind the scenes to keep this organized, but yes, Angela is the real MVP of the day. So thank you. And there are no questions today. All right. You can bring your questions to the Deep Dive and ask Alyssa and Dan. The drop cap session will have questions on foreign rights. Not general. Not general Q and A that day. But I think that's going to be a fantastic session. So I hope to see you all back then. And yeah, thank you. Here's to a fantastic 2024. I love Efren's idea of collaboration. I hope we all collaborate and support each other to make this the best year yet. Until next time, take care.
